I think the Black Mafia should silence like Mayer like they did to Dave Chappelle. Its all part of Chappelle Theory.

Oprah, Bill Cosby and Al Sharpton will show up at the front door of John Mayer's residence one day real soon and teach him a lesson.

    This.

John is witty, intelligent, and the last of a dying breed of blues/jazz guitar-freak, singer-songwriters. This thread is full of haters. The interview sounds nothing like Mayer, he is usually very well-spoken. He must be high, or just overloading on the tongue-in-cheek. I don't see why everybody here seems to hate the guy, except maybe for his popularity with the women folk.

I dn about all the race comments, or the wisdom of being so candid to Playboy, but it is at the very least refreshing to hear a celebrity talk about themselves and their lives personally and in a way that is relate-able, as if they aren't the multi-national corporation their name alone represents. Considering his tabloid peers and other contemporary Grammy noms, Mayer is a winner in my book.

I'll even admit to liking Room for Squares.

The down economy has forced the hood to do the unspeakable......offering up "hood passes" for monthly and yearly rental. It's very similar to ESPN Insider.

Well he is BFF's with Rob&Big. Maybe he borrowed one of their hood passes?

    Either way, he is awesome.

True. Berklee is a "name" and a lot of good musicians went there and they have an amazing faculty, but ANYONE can get into Berklee. It's ridiculously expensive (like $35K/year). The really talented students get scholarships, but if you have the cash and you play an instrument at least kind of decently, you can get accepted to Berklee. The crappy students supplement the education of the really good students. So if somebody tells me they went to Julliard or Eastman or the Manhattan School then I have some instant respect for them. If somebody tells me they went to Berklee then I still have to take a wait and see approach.
