Wow, you really can't read. No wonder you got the logic so ass backwards. I almost feel bad making somebody with learning difficulties look so stupid.

Lol, ok man. Go to the standard book of internet trash talk when you can’t figure out a logical reason for your asinine comments.

You’re a Green fanboy. He sucks right now. You hate on Sengun fans because he’s actually good right now. They’re both Rockets.
No need to compare Sengun fans to Mobley fans, that would be the same as comparing Green fans (you) to Mobley fans.

Agreed, but I am not really saying they are comparable coaches. I am only saying that Lucas has himself said he develops relationships with players because he cares about people and that he also has learned to approach people based on who they are and what they respond to. By his nature, Lucas is blunt and direct. He is being blunt and direct in what he said about Sengun. Why? Because he believes Sengun can handle it and he respects him. You won't likely hear similar comments about Porter......... in fact Lucas said he has to change how he communicates with Porter depending on which Porter shows up that day....

What he said about Sengun and how he said it, is all a sign of respect for him as a man. He doesn't have to baby Sengun.

I can appreciate that in a coach. Can appreciate that in a player too.
I don’t mind it at all.
If I saw the whole quote and not a tweet that made it seem like he called him out only, I wouldn’t have had a second thought about it.

You really haven't seen me post much. Sengun is my favourite Rockets player and the only one on our roster who's jersey I own you absolute dumb cunt.

Further down that list of internet trash talk lol, you new to this youngster?

You’re a green fanboy, period. Don’t try to claim you’re a Sengun fan when you just compared his fans to Mobley fans.

Just say he's blunt and direct dont name drop Popp its ridiculous. The issue here is that THEY are the reason he has a long way to go. THEY have been holding him back. Thats why that comment was taken the way it was by some of us. If you actually understand the situation and youre one of the people who have been saying that Sengun should be starting since freakin summer league then its a slap in the damn face. They dont know how far he is theyve barely given him the ****ing chance. Silas had to be threatenend with being fired in order to do it. SO again if you ignore context the comment was just tough love. You can give tough love if youre Popp because you know what the **** youre doing. Dont hold a player back and make a comment about him having a long way to go.

They think potential Green attackers are as one dimensional as his early game.

I do not care that much about Mobley.

Really, you have seen endless threads on Cabo, Harrell, Landry?

I've seen people comment Asik is/was a top 3 center, All Star material
if we just let him post up. Really, vice grip hands? Ok.

But if you read closer, I specified tall....being 6'9" to 6'11".......white guy
Ehlo and Budinger didn't make the cut. Aren't they white?

I'm saying white guy around 6'10" gets CF members all hot and bothered
every time. Except Theis, who is in Senguns way.....and Theis is 6'8"

It's a preference......like short brunettes with big boobs driving a Corvette....
or something. Not saying that's my preference.

That’s the sad part, I want Green and Sengun to be elite because it benefits the Rockets.
Got dudes like him that would rather a player be all time so they can be right, never mind the team.

We were talking about the Sengun man crush. :)

@ApacheWarrior put it nicely. “A little overboard at times.”

    Nah, that **** gets old.
    Every.damn.game.
    Every.damn.thread.

Rockets win 8 games in a row. … “But but but Sengun only played 13 minutes!”

[Game thread] “Y U NO PLAY SENGUN MOAR LAST NIGHT?! Stupid Silas!” … “Silas still have Theis in and Sengun on the bench. lol”

Hey dumbass, Stephen Silas left in the first quarter.

Give it a ****ing rest already.

(Then they finally realized after the game Silas wasn’t there and it was John Lucas. They then took their ire to John Lucas.)

Yes, Sengun should play more. Agree. I heard you the first ****ing time.

I have no problem with John Lucas (and what he said).

I didn't bring up Popovich, another couple posters did. After Popovich was brought up I made the comparison of two coaches that are blunt and demanding of the players they respect and believe they can be honest to and with.

As for Sengun. I had him in my top 7-8 players in this draft, wanted the Rockets to draft him and was excited when he was drafted by the Rockets. Before the draft on these boards I said the idea that he was too laterally slow and a plodder wasn't consistent with the tape. I also said that the way he ran in part slowed him down, which is something that the Rockets have changed..... so I was and I am a big fan of Sengun. Do I assume he will be an all star? No, maybe but he isn't at that level. What I do know is that he will at a minimum be a long term rotation player with a strong aptitude for the game because that is where he is already at.

Where I disagree with the clutchfans community is that I DO believe that Sengun does need to improve defensively. He makes some very nice plays, especially with his length, but he also makes some poor plays defensively. The Rockets give up more points when he is on the floor. The last I looked it was 6 points per 100. That isn't terrible, but he needs to improve on it.

My comments have nothing to do with Silas, as I do not think he is a good coach for the Rockets and I don't think his interests are developing young players but it is more a desire to selfishly win as many games as possible now.

Sengun and Wood together on the court so far as not worked well statistically. The Rockets are not going to sit Wood as he is the Rockets best player (for now). So that means less minutes for Sengun. I have advocated dealing Wood and giving Sengun 30 minutes a night.... but it isn't that simple either as he gets in foul trouble and is still a work in progress when it comes to conditioning.

Sengun DOES have a long way to go, he will likely be a far better player two years from now. He is a rotation worthy player now, but he will be a lot more than that in short order.

I agree with you that the Sengun man crush is overboard.

Sengun has played very well this year and has a high ceiling..... but I have heard a number of people say he will be a superstar and that is really a reach.... Could it happen? Sure, but that is an extreme outcome.

I guess it isn't a surprise as the Montejunas love fest was really bizarre...... I guess seeing a skilled and smart player that looks like them makes some posters really over value them.

Quote from the Athletic. Chill out man....

His relationship with Lucas also has been a huge positive. It’s nearly impossible for anyone to meet Lucas and not be instantly gravitated toward him, but the two are almost inseparable. Lucas has been one of Sengun’s biggest cheerleaders since before he suited up with the team. He understood early on just how good the young center could be given the right amount of nurturing — and tough love.

It’s the Lucas way. Sengun loves him for it.

“I love John because he’s like my father,” Sengun said. “He’s older, but he’s a great coach. He’s crazy, but he is great. He knows everything about basketball; he’s very smart. He’s just like my father.”

“I have a foot on him,” Lucas said on their bond. “We speak the same language through his interpreter. When I get mad at him at halftime, I tell his interpreter to tell him what I say. And it’s mostly a four-letter word.”

Pop passed on Sengun in the draft to take Josh Primo. Give the Rockets some credit because the traded up to get him. So they obviously believe in in the kid. Just Sayin'

There are multiple threads, because anybody watching the game sees that the Rockets are better when he is playing than when he is not. You making the case that it is because he is white is blatantly racist. I loved Harden because he was a great player, was all the hate or the love he got based on race? Did we have a lot of threads about Harden that weren’t about his race, but his play. You can’t stop racism with racism. It’s ok for Rockets fans to be excited about Segun just like we are excited about Jaygup, Brooks, Matthews, KPJ, and all the other young players that are growing.

Let’s just hope Sengun isn’t as sensitive as some of the posters here. Good grief. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with what he said and it wasn’t even remotely harsh as a critique. Sounds like the two of them have a great relationship.

You must not be reading a majority of the comments stating, Sengun is so handsome, so cute,
his jiggling meme is going to break the internet. I could post specifics but will refrain.

What does your face have to do with playing defense?

If that was the case, every model would be an NBA player?

Every team forces Sengun to guard a quicker guard and said guards are blowing
by him at the free throw line. We have to send help....this opening up
    a 3-point shooter.

I'm ok with Sengun starting or coming off the bench.....but more than 20 minutes
sets us up to lose as the NBA has become faster pace and going small. This is why
Jokic team is an 8th seed. .....Embiid and 76ers are 7th seed.

You are focusing on "white" to distract.

I'm a Hispanic and don't feel I am racist.....I push for black players and
white players just the same. If they can play ball I'm for them.

    Are Turkish people white now?

Edit: I know Asik was lighter than Sengun but I don't think Turkish ppl are considered white. Also I'm gonna have to push back against the fact that it's race based. If anything I think its the allure of Euroleague players in general.
