you know, I was going to crack a joke about that too, but I just knew YOU would cover up for my laziness. Thank you.
Why the outrage though? Lucas is an ahole because he's telling the truth? There is no hidden agenda - Sengun is a GREAT young player - best rookie so far for us, but he's not a perfect player either yet and the hysteria sometimes tries to paint that picture. He WILL be a liability defensively late in playoff games if he doesnt get it worked out. Lucky for us the playoffs are years away, but thats the point with all the rookies. Try to envision the finished form vs crucifying the current mistakes and areas of improvement. "long ways to go" is coachspeak anyway .. no need to freak out about it.
I figured it wouldn't be as harsh as it sounds in context. Lucas is known for being good for younger players, isn't he?
The most ridiculous thing about this thread is that this is exactly the type of thing I'd say to motivate Sengun based on the way his personality comes across and his body language in games. Out of everybody on our roster he might be the most competitive, he certainly gets more worked up than anybody else when we're sucking and losing. He doesn't strike me as a diva you have to pamper, but he does strike me as somebody who hears he has a long way to go and fights his ass off to be the best as quickly as he can. Tl/dr; y'all are b****es, Sengun really isn't.
Before this quote, Lucas was talking about how they had to play through Anfernee because the spacing with Theis was off. I'm sitting there with my Debbie frosted Christmas tree cakes saying, I could have told you that as soon as I saw the lineup. Don't think he's an A hole just very blunt like in his halftime interviews. You're making it easier for the opposing team to defend you by starting Theis.
Popovich would always chastise Tim Duncan publicly and in practice Is Popovich an A-hole? Yeah, but I hear that's good coaching. This man crush for Sengun by Clutchfans can be taken a little overboard at times.
Lucas had to dust off that 1989 playbook last night. Alright young fellas let's do fadeaways from 20 feet and make sure to score no more than 64 points. Get a few technicals or you are running laps around the bus.
Yes, I'm trying to be a nicer, gentler "ApacheWarrior" I have Sengun starting as well; but I don't see a need to push the issue for greater minutes. But Clutchfans has a history of fondness for the tall anglo Rockets players: Chandler Parsons was seen as a dreamboat D-Mo has more threads than any player in the history of CF's Now Sengun Even Asik was seen as a god briefly here on CF's. Craig Ehlo and Jim Peterson before them. I'm not a hater, good for them. I take it with a grain of salt, like most things in life. Lol. Edited: Ehlo and Budinger were probably too short for that list. Let's scratch them off.
most 1-3 picks overhyped, also, too much pressure and expectations on them, that's why their life got ruined, not a secret. never mind, 16th pick pretty safe there, esp considering the PT allowed, that will leave him a much intensified upward driven power.
