Crud. I thought we were getting M&M's with peanuts. Just getting peanuts alone isn't really worth it. The PER on M&M's is much higher. Don't do it Morey. Hold out for the chocolate.
That's a valid point. "The Wizard" could cause some confusion. I was a bigger fan of Walt than most. However, we did have a G-Money (Glen Rice) which is very similar to D-Money and could cause confusion as well. Plus, "The Wizard" has this supernatural connotation with it, which is fitting considering the moves that Morey has been able to pull.
No real criticism... wow I think it's probably because Morey is just on fire lately and a trade like this just seems to fit with the trend. GO $Ball!!! get er done...
$Money$ball shows that trading John Lucas to New Orleans will improve our performance and sabotage's New Orleans's chance of a playoff run in 2008.
yeah you gotta make sure they package chocolate with peanuts in this trade otherwise bonzi might demand to be traded
don't forget butler, we need to make sure we get extra chocolate, or else bonzi and butler might have chemistry problem with each other.
I don't think this was meant as fact, more so that if this were to be the case, someone on a NO BBS would probably already be thinking this.
I was under the impression that the Rockets bought that pick The only second round pick we traded so far this offseason was for Scola. IIRC, the 08 2nd goes (like said previously) to NO for Snyder. Second round picks (especially late ones) are such a crapshoot, Im good with getting rid of them for decent players. besides, as this year showed...there is always someone willing to sell their picks.
one of the 5 rules. - never give away assets. morey, d-money, the wizard, whoever, will get something in return. lets get a future second rounder and call it a day. by the way, morey said that if steve wants to come here he would sign him first, THEN "figure things out." don't expect a move to make a spot for steve before he's here.
man i hope this trade really goes down, it almost doesnt matter what we get in return but a second rounder would be nice
Link i thought the snyder 2nd round pick was this year and thats why we didn't have any... or was that it because of the mike james trade?
Here is (what I believe is) the status of the Rockets' second round picks for the next few years: 2007 Second Round Pick - Traded to Milwaukee in the first Mike James trade 2008 Second Round Pick - New Orleans has the right to SWAP second round picks with the Rockets pursuant to the Kirk Snyder trade 2009 Second Round Pick - Traded to San Antonio in the Luis Scola trade FUTURE Second Round Pick - Traded to Seattle (with cash) in the Carl Landry trade. I think this means the Rockets could possibly have to swap picks with New Orleans but could then trade New Orleans's pick to complete the Landry deal. Or maybe it's for a pick in 2010. I don't think any news report actually detailed what pick was traded for Landry.
just as an additional confirmation of validity... in the Feigen Francis article New Orleans is shown as having the most interest.
