OK, Rafe gone = good. But --

Foster, I believe, has an option for a 2nd year and costs more than RA. Both bode poorly, even with the 'savings' of not re-signing Deke.

What about Miami with Doleac (an Adelman-esque high post back up 5) in his last contracted season with Simeon (also an expiring). But --

Yes, yes I understand. Yet another body too many. However, if this meant Deke and Hayes were not re-signed, Sura bought out, and Rafer gone (+ Lil Luke) then the body count starts to equate with roster allowances.

Q if Landry, eg, were sent to the D League does his place count against the 15? I (unfortunately) think it does. Anyone know for certain?

Yes, the 15 number is set regardless of if they are playing up or down in the NBDL. So, even if you sent the three extra guys down to the D-League instead of putting them on IR they still count as part of your roster of 15

Right, otherwise stashing of players becomes too real an opportunity, and threat.

Yes, which is why I believe they have not signed him. He has no spot on the team right now, so why waste a roster spot?

He may be completely unsigned, or asked to go to Europe.

Hayes & Deke haven't re-signed meaning no vet backup PF or C is on the roster. If one of those don't re-sign and they can't trade for one they might need to use the LLE on a free agent. They can add an extra year/s using the LLE on Landry.

DD, do you really think they would actually ask the 31st pick to go to Europe. I think they would trade him before doing something like that.

I'm just repeating the "rumors" that are circulating. Rafer/Sura for Foster or whoever. How are they backcourt heavy? They have tinsley and Denier as PG.

They still have an option on Darrell Armstrong.

I'd love it if he were 'seasoned' another year or two before coming 'home'.

You're ******* right he is. Remember him giving Dirk all kinds of trouble in the '06 finals? Good stuff.

Foster is on the Pacers not the Heat.

I wish Jannel Pargo would make up his mind between the Heat, Hornets and Pacers so we can deal JL3 plus either or both of Rafer and Luther. The suspense is killing me.

    Not.

NO plays the rockets well because we can't stop Chris Paul. He's on that team right?

Pargo is close to singing with Olmpiakos. so that makes the Lucas to Hornets more likely.

For some reason when he plays against us, Chris Paul shoots the ball well from outside. If he did that on a nightly basis, he could be a top 5 NBA player. Something about Rafer and Luther turns Chris Paul into Tiny Archibald.
