From what I've read, Elizabeth took the high road for the younger children cause she knew they would need their father after she passed. She was thinking about her kids. But Cate is a grown woman. She knows her father is a d-bag and put her mom through unnecessary stress during her final years. Maybe it's just me, but if I wouldn't put up with that ****.
