Hmmm. So we have an NE story followed up by a Fox story. I can't understand why the major news organizations are not leading with this. Here's a couple of interesting paragraph from the Fox story: So, which is it? Did the guard later recognize Edwards after hearing reports or after seeing a photo? Something doesn't add up. While we're at it, I'd like more mainstream media investigations into the following:
There may now be some pics of this incident. Although I haven't seen mention of this anywhere else I did find it mentioned here at the Washington Post website: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/discussion/2008/07/20/DI2008072001482.html Here is the brief mention:
Because it's newsworthy. Regardless of if it turns out to be true, unless it is effectively proven false in the very near term, it has likely ended any possibility of Edwards being VP. If it does turn out to have legs, it likely eliminates any major role in the Obama administration as well (Attorney General is where I think he would end up). While National Enquirer has the weirded out "aliens are invading" side of their publication, they've also been at the front of a lot of political and other scandals and have a pretty decent track record there. I think they were sued a lot in the past and learned and now much better source their stories. No aliens will sue them for defamation, so I guess they can still get away with that side of things.
I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a politician as I am with Edwards, and that includes Clinton. It is not surprising that he turned out to be a phony unethical loser with a secret side to his personality. That's expected from politicians, most of whom have an insatiable neediness and an overinflated ego. What wasn't expected was the sheer ugliness of that secret side and the utter selfishness he displayed. Cheating with some freaked out golddigger while your wife/mother of your children dies slowly of cancer is beyond the pale. Not to mention the amateurish coverup. Truly despicable. He talked a good game, highlighted some very important issues, and no doubt did some very good things in his life, but his legacy is now nothing more than a pathetic adulterer.
Word! My wife to this day reels in horror that he was her favorite candidate last election. To think he was so close to the nomination.
so, in light of subsequent events, would you care to revise your earlier post, and the gratuitous swipe at W?
Cancer and John Edwards? They both suck and no one knows why they're here, or how to get rid of them.
