The Pelicans didn’t suck as bad as the Hawks. Bradley Beal is massively overrated, so thanks for making my point for me.
The Rockets wouldn't give some good play max offer except for MVP level. It's main taeget is to find some young pieces like Wood at this time.
I agree. Grass is always greener on the other side, you give up multiple assets to get him and whoops he aint as good as you expected. Hawks are a trash team with an identical record to the Rox and they in the East with Collins, Capela and "Curry 2.0" Young. He aint that good esp if you give uo assets for him and then need to pay the max to keep him.
Terrible logic and as I already posted earlier hawks play winning ball with Trae and Collins and then fall off cliff when they’re on the bench. Hawks are the only losing team in the nba with a positive differential. Team is horribly coached.
The Hawks traded Luka for Young and a pick. Their front office is smart, and is likely just trying to see if there’s some great assets out there that will allow them to stretch their timeline out. This is likely what the Rockets will do with Oladipo, Tucker and perhaps others. If you want Collins, then trade Gordon in the offseason, opening up a max slot to make an offer. That way you keep all your picks. If Atlanta matches, then all you missed out on was John Collins on a max deal, and you can redeploy that cap space to gather more assets.
Watching John Collins vs Spurs right now.....highly unimpressive CF’s will demand Tilman / Stone get rid of him after 2 games.
His effort and energy looks fine. Just can’t do anything right. Basketball I.Q. doesn’t seem very good. short on his shot, weak rebounding. The opposite of presenting a clinic. I can see why the Hawks don’t want to max the guy out. Just my opinion.
Looking at all the Hawks best 2,3,4 and 5 man lineups that have played some decent minutes together. Collins is absolutely helping them win big time. He’s pretty much included in all their best groupings. Majority of lineups featuring Reddish are absolutely killing them.
No Rocket science. AD cannot facilitate for someone else in an elite fashion, he is injury prone, and he isn't exactly the toughest in all games. Bradley isn't an elite defender. Both are elite scorers at times. They cannot elevate the guys around them, mentally and spiritually and I did not trust their coaches, Gentry in Nola and Scott Brooks in DC. 'Being that good' is subjective, basketball is an odd team sport. Sometimes being a little tougher, coexisting better with a better coach will get you farther.....Lebron is literally the glue and leader. The Wiz (name change) and Pelicans are fairly young franchises and not winning ones.
Tate has a high IQ and brings good energy but his 6'4" height and relatively limited upside makes him an asset in a trade for Collins or Aaron Gordon along with picks and the underrated Eric Gordon. Add in BMac's shooting or Nwaba. @D-rock @Nook
How about 3 picks? I don’t see how the Rockets couldn’t out bid everyone with just Portland, Washington and Detroit picks. None of those are that attractive but it’s still 3 FRP. MAYBE GSW with the Wolves pick or Washington with their own pick. But both of those are unlikely. Collins on a max with Draymond and Wiseman makes no sense. Washington could be desperate enough to make this season work. OKC and the Knicks have picks but I can’t see either going in on Collins.
