He was right though. If Ray Lewis played pro ball, he'd probably be as good or bad as Joey Dorsey. Good thing Ray Lewis chose Football. So Joey isn't Ray Lewis with a basetball, He's Ray Lewis if he played basketball instead of football.
after mike harris's 2nd day contract is up, houston could give dorsey a couple of 10 day contracts, since all the big men are injured.
http://www.ridiculousupside.com/2010/3/30/1396493/joey-dorsey-cut-by-sacramento Excerpt: Kings play-by-play man Grant Napear apparently mentioned on his talk show that Dorsey "said something to the effect of 'why am i practicing if i'm not gonna play' and then something that Grant couldn't even repeat...."
GET R DONE, MOREY!!1!11 More seriously, there's a thread on this in NBA Dish: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=184454
That was very short stay for Dorsey. I though Kings would at least give him a chance until next season, but I guess not. Too bad he doesn't have a brain or maturity to stay in this league.
I don't wish ill of the guy, but I'm not surprised. Not too long before we traded him, I remember the camera panning across the bench, Adelman turning to tell certain players to go into the game (it was a blowout, can't remember if it was in our favor or not). Dorsey was, to use a term from the article above, really clowning around and laughing. Adelman had to work to get his attention. Time to work, time to play. At LEAST pay attention. Too bad, if the guy could stay healthy AND focused, he might turn out OK in the league.
@WojYahooNBA Joey Dorsey has agreed to sign with Toronto, his agent, Lance Young, says. Sacramento released the forward last week.
http://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA The Rockets made an offer to re-sign Dorsey again, but he chose the Raptors.
WojYahooNBA Dorsey had been traded to the Kings as part of the Kevin Martin-TMac deal, but released when [Paul Westphal] felt he was too clownish.
