Dude has questionable work ethic and hasn't improved at all since he's been in the league. He's the Anti-Landry
Pretty surprising given he doesn't make much, they have so many injuries and it's so late in the season. He must have shown Westphal absolutely nothing for him to get cut.
Because he just isn't all that. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hNAsA34LT9k&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hNAsA34LT9k&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
My guess would be that it must be even more than that...like him being a negative influence in the locker room or something.
Sure the rockets could bring him back but I really question the long term use of such a move. This particular season is a wash and the organization should focus on getting a high draft pick. Bringing him back doesn't help that.
It wouldn't be a long-term move, it would be a bandaid for to tide us over until the end of the season with Battier, Jeffries, and Andersen down, Chuck on one bad knee, and Hill not 100%.
Wow...he wasn't even worth a headline apparently. Just an "oh by the way" last sentence mention in a fairly long article.
I'm not surprised. He was way down the totem pole. I hope he can learn from this setback and play for another team.
Joey Dorsey is Ben Wallace without the work ethic. Its a shame that he hasn't found his niche yet because he showes so much promise, especially that Memphis game.
Dorsey is a border-line NBA player at best. Undersized and no offensive skills -- it'll be tough for him to stick around in the league.
