Wow I was so happy to see Dorsey get his chance to shine out there. He totally took advantage of it. He isn't tall for a center but with his wide shoulders and long arms he doesnt need to be. I like Anderson also but when we need defense and rebounding, Dorsey is clearly head and shoulders better.
What I said in the game thread....I think Dorsey is the best player to complement Landry or Scola b/c he provides that athletic defender and rebounder that Andersen does not provide. Dorsey brought a lot of energy and life that was missing from the Rockets, which relegated Andersen to garbage time. If I was Andersen, I would be thinking of how I can raise the level of my game or he will be taking Dorsey's seat at the end of the bench.
He had a good game.... But it was just 1 game.... So let's see him keep this up for at least 5 games..
this may be the only time this picture will ever mean anything so booya at least this jersey didnt go to waste!
That's also true. But he does fit Rockets' needs right now: Inside defense and defensive rebouding. In the same time, he need to learn to cut down his fouls by at least half.
Yeesh.. Enjoy it today.. Wait for the "I told you sos" tomorrow.. We found someone who doesn't rebound the basketball as if it's a Fabergé egg.. I think this thread would have been worth it if all Dorsey did tonight was box out and distribute Gatorade to the bench.
Good for Dorsey tonight. Not sure if this portends anything in the future but he's earned more chances.
Considering how rocky his short NBA road has been so far, I wouldn't judge him game to game. Let's see how he averages out... and that means don't trade him. DM may have referred to a lot of the talent he's collected as "assets" and rightly so. But that should mean more than poker chips. Those assets might just be best kept off the table. Surely, if he was being considered as part of trade, his performance tonight should give management pause. Remember how Landry seemed to morph before everyone's eyes? And how for some time fans thought he would never contribute much to the team? Same with Budinger. Before he had even played in the summer most fans were pretty lukewarm about him. Unfortunately, this (Dorsey's waking up??) is happening as the trade deadline approaches. I hope the Rockets don't make a mistake with him.
agree. it's been a tough season, and we've had a particularly tough stretch recently. for the prodigal son to come up from the D-League and contribute to a win on the road a lot of us doubted we could pull off.... is worth a thread or two.

always had the potential and im sooo happy RA is giving him a real shot.. this puts a smile on my lips  cuz i was baffled that a player as talented as him was jus wasting on the bench
“We played soft,” Zach Randolph said. “They did what they wanted to. It was very disappointing. They treated us like little girls.” LOL HAHAHAH
