Everyone knows that if Gasol did that, they woulda called a foul on Yao.
They aren't calling it both ways.
Joey Crawford has been suspended about 3x by the NBA. Why don't they just get rid of him already?

Well Pau was holding one of Yao arm on that rebound and should have been call for a foul first.

I'm not saying that isn't the case. I'm just saying that on this particular play, it was a stupid move by Yao.

No arguments here, though. Yao would have been called for the foul whether he was the offensive or defensive player in that situation.

The guy is already proven to be deceitful by being fired once and suspended twice, the only reason NBA keep him around is for him to their dirty deeds. He gives NBA a bad image.

this is the only reason why he's still in the league. david stern called up to make sure this thing doesn't go back to Houston with the Rockets up 2-0

Let's concentrate on games, not referees

I think one lesson up-coming teams have to learn is to play cool with the referees, and not to fight with referees. Rox should just play the Rox ball, emphasize on offensive and defensive strategies instead of trying to blame the referees.

Now Lakers are playing small by benching Bynum, how should the Rox adjust?

if a guy is inside the restricted area (the circle under the basket) it can't be an offensive foul. guys jump into guys every time and if they are in that semi circle it's always a defensive foul or at worst a no call. You can't charge into someone right under the basket.

I'm really sick of Joey Crawford. He seems to have more impact on games than any referee I've ever seen. It's pathetic.

I agree with this and with you, CometsWin, and this above.

ONCE they said "Joey Crawford" at the beginning of the game, I knew he was going to be part of the game somehow.

Not like this... not like this... :(

While I do hate Joey Crawford and his "holier than thou" demeanor, I can't say he made much difference in the outcome tonight. He made his usual bad calls, but nothing too much in favor of either team.

I just really hate the fact that he won't discuss things with players in a civilized manner.
