Is he aging right before our eyes? It seems he bends more and more as the game goes on. At first he's standing up right, but then he bends... and bends... and bends... and by the end of the game, he can't even raise his head to call fouls.
    Are you a COF?

:( Let's leave roosters out of this, man.

Nothing wrong with a little dog now and then. I had some with my father-in-law in Asia a few years ago. Taste like beef but more tender. Good with beer.

He wasn't even touched, and when I saw the replay it was another WTH moment in Utah.

But Crawford, of course, is not the most hated official in Rockets history, but he's become somewhat of a media darling and he does hate Yao. Bavetta is still higher on my "you ruined my night" scale.

I was astonished that we won with the calls going like that. Tonight v. the lakers we have Mark Wunderlich, Eric Dalen and Pat Fraher. None of whom I recognize, which is probably a good thing. I didn't see Violet Palmer - is she gone this year?

There were three bad calls against Rockets, first one, of course, on Landry for breathing on Ak, second one, Scola offensive foul, and last one was the call on AB.

first one was bad the second one, was a cheap foul nash created which is always called

the first 2 fouls he called on Chuck though were ridiculously suspect plus some of the blocks that were called that were actually charges.

there was a sequence in the fourth where lowry drove was fouled but nothing was called scola went to the floor for the loose ball amare was above him reaching around his body to grab the ball and was able to rip the ball away when scola was still on the ground and nothing was called...then on the other end a ticky tack was called sending amare to the line.

the fouls were bad esp in the fourth the suns got a escort to the FT line by some silly mistakes by the rockets and some poor officiating.

heck there was a play when ariza drove was tripped by amare and nothing was called...he ended up traveling (no call on the travel) but only travelled cuz of the trip and ended up tossing up an out of control layup late in the fourth. of course if the trip was properly called (since when is a trip NOT called?) it would have been amare's 5th.

tough loss...rockets went ice cold for too long which hurt them the most but Joey Crawford that man needs to be told to leave already

When chuck got his first foul I could have sworn Luis tell chuck who was upset at the call "its joey crawford"

I agree he seems to make calls against us, but I think we notice this because he is a recognizable ref. We know him for his suspension on Duncan or his weird T-Rex run or his demonstrative calls.

I think the second worst ref is Violet Palmer, but that is probably because she is recognizable as the girl ref.

I would bet good money every legit sports team forum has this identical thread about Joey.

Refs make mistakes every single game. Joey makes mistakes and we notice because we know him. IF he consistently made bad calls, the NBA would not have brought him back after the Duncan thing or have him call primetime games. He must be statistically good.

Back in the Yao ming days I could tolerate the "refs are screwing us" threads, but we don't have players who are tough to ref anymore. (except we dont get so-called superstar calls... but that's a different thread)

Can you name more than six or seven refs in the nba?

I hate to tell you this, but do you know why you can only name six or seven refs in the nba?

It's because they are the ones making the mistakes or highest number of mistakes.

The best ref is an invisible ref. Even if they make one or two bad calls you don't feel the need to point them out or look them up. When it's continually making questionable calls or killing momentum that you search to find out who the moron is that's causing your team grief.

Exactly what I was thinking! The best refs are the ones you don't know about.. except Dick Bevetta, but I only know who he is cuz he recently turned 125 old and he made out with chuck on tv and loosing to him in the race at the all star game a few years back.

I know that if Joey Crawford is the ref, we have a bigger chance of losing than winning... That's what I noticed everytime he's the ref... He caused us the 2nd game against Portland during 1st round of playoffs...

He will never be fired unless he's calling to Vegas for bet during officiating. It's a shame that the league not investigate an obvious dirty ref.
