Is Morey on the hot seat? He should be. Dude has done an awful job being the GM. Other than drafting Maxey I don't think he has made any significant move that helped the team in his tenure and he keeps getting Rockets retreads like those are the only players he knows. He must have signed every Rockets old guy during his tenure Harden, Eric Gordon, PJ Tucker, Dwight Howard, Gary Clark, KJ Martin, Mason Jones lmao it's pathetic at this point. People accuse Stone of being an Eli Wheatus puppet but its looking to me like Morey is the one who is clueless without Wheatus.
Imagine paying a big three and they can’t even beat the Miami heat. Rockets should be thanking God for the coaching and culture here.
[Charania] In the meeting, Maxey challenged Embiid to be on time to team activities, calling out the former league MVP about being late "for everything" and how it impacts the locker room, from other players to the coaching staff, sources briefed on the meeting told ESPN.
I mean they haven't played together all season. Tyrese is currently injured. Embiid was injured and Paul George has also been injured.
Joel Embiid is the only player I know who needs a whole offseason ramping up for the ramp up he’ll need once the season starts Paul George looks like an absolute clown playing like trash and missing half the games yet still putting out his podcast
This sounds like Morey's typical cuddle the superstar attitude, so I'm not surprised there is no accountability here, this is the way Morey operates. I imagine that a lot of other teams may operate this way, but man the stories always seem to follow Morey.
It seems to me that the teams which recently won championships weren't the ones trying to form a "big three" through expensive trades, depleting draft capital and mortgaging your future, where at least 2 of the 3 were 30+ years old on supermax contracts and with significant injury history. However, this seems to have been the blueprint Daryl has been trying to pursue his entire career. I always thought Daryl was great, but at this point, this looks more like a recipe for disaster.
To be fair, Darrell always ends up with divas.....and he is sort of diva himself, a geek diva of the poor. He also reminds me of someone who could work well as a politician, not so true with his words yet highly intelligent.
They drafted well and paid thier draftees Morey didn't have much of a chance of that in Houston We always had the 14th pick. Seemed unwilling to tank and did not have the capital to trade up Injuries are injuries. . .it happens. i would not have brought in Paul George. While it maybe inujuries. . .he seems to have alot of TMac in him on paper this teams looks like it should contend but attitude . . .coaching? . . . . .injuries At this point with some players I am wondering how much Training or lack there of . . .contribute to injuries. Rocket River
Sixers are done, been done. This is what happens when you build around an injury prone star. When you players can't stay on the floor and stay healthy, you're not winning anything.
