what about this guy.....he will be the perfect compliment for us. legit 3rd scorer 3 pt shooter and above average defender, Atlanta has 3 players waiting to take his position....williams, childress and smith. down side is he makes a ton of money but we gotta take risk if we dont want to talk about lotery next year. Atlanta trades: joe johnson Atlanta gets: swift alston sura 32 and 39 Houston trades swift alston sura 32 and 39 Houston gets joe johnson The hawks would do it coz it frees up minutes for smith williams and childress. They get a decent pg with decent contract and a replacement pf for harrington incase he just signs elsewhere. they also get depth with the 2 second rounders plus a veteran in sura who they may cut or play for them depending on his health. Most importantly they can s n t al harrington for more depth or center or a better pg and not worry about a pf. If this this deal happens then we should consentrate of getting a pf using the 8th pick. What you guys think?
yeah, the hawks would do this in a heartbeat. threads with fantasy trades like this should be locked immediately, and/or another section should created for them.
if you've actually read the board since '99, i can only assume that someone stole your pwd and posted, cause you HAVE to know that this is the kinda of stupid thing that gets flamed and locked..
some people stilll think we have the 39th pick I seen threads on probably 10 discussion board, and it still happens....
Sign me up! Also, do you think I can trade all of my money for one billion dollars of Bill Gates money? I'll even include fifty dollars of my brothers money.
I could see the Hawks doing it if we gave em our unprotected lotto pick this year. The chance that it could be in the top 3 just spices things up. They do have a lot of talent at the 2 Guard and Swift can play center in the east. But the most logical trade would be the Texans number 1 pick and J. Howard for the Falcons 1st rounder, several Braves prospects, and Josh Smith.
1) atlanta would never do it. (why would they want 3 junk players when they only have 1 avail spot?) 2) jj wants to be the 1st option not the 3rd.. hence the reason he left the suns for atlanta in the first place. 3) jj signed a top heavy contract (about 20 mil in first year).. atl already went through 'the worst part' of the contract, no way in hell they trade him now
Doubt if Atlanta's majority owners would trade Johnson only one year after the big fight they had with the former minority owner over signing him.
Also adding the fact that JJ is on his way to becoming an allstar for this team. With a solid PG and High Flying PF, this team will make some noise in the near future.
