This is awesome. What will Howard say now that his dream is truly a Dwightmare?

Does this trade keep NJ from getting Dwight next offseason? Or just in a trade this year?

Does this mean Josh Smith is even more on the block than before? There's no point in him playing on that team by himself. I'd happily give up some of our young prospects.

Isn't it possible that DWill doesnt sign with the nets and signs with the Mavs and try to get DH12 there with him? If not then Howard has to decide to stay with the magic or go with us:grin:

They should have never signed Joe Johnson to that contract. Hawks fans are now going to have to pay for their team's management issues of the past. They got some decent talent there in Atlanta so this might be a case where Teague comes into his own and between him and Josh Smith, they pick up part of their game and make the team more balanced as a result.

It says deal contingent on dwill resigning with the nets so it may be moot

Dwight is about to spend an especially miserable year in Orlando. How can fans even cheer for him after all this? Yuck.

...if you think about it - it's really not contingent on Deron. If Deron leaves, Dwight isn't going to Brooklyn and the Nets need someone to play for that team anyway so welcome, Mr. Johnson. If Deron stays, the Nets are going to take Joe Johnson anyway it sounds like.

Not necessarily. Because Josh Smith and Dwight Howard are friends, this supports my theory Howard could end up signing with the Hawks. In the past he's steadfastly avoided any talk of going back to Atlanta, but it looks very possible now.
