I like brooks + tmac for cp3 + chandler more. XD

    It should be win-win trade.
Rockets can get a backup center.
Hornets have finanical problem. Tmac can help them much. XDDD

I agreed that Joe Johnson would fit this team perfectly. He's the type that attack the basket relentlessly and can shoot the light out.

Hedo or Ariza. Let Artest walk.

I didn't know Charles Dickens was a Rox fan. Paid by the word I guess.

Who are we to get then? It is exactly like the author said, we need a player who can score at the 2 with size and athleticism.

Yes it is a buyer's market right now, but that does not mean you will get 'perfect' superstar/star players. Those players will always be in short supply and hard to steal from other teams.

It means you have to take players who have some minuses, criticisms, etc. and take that risk, but you get them cheaper than we would have a few years ago.

(Plus, that PER is skewed due that first playoffs with phoenix when they were horrible starting marbury and penny.)

Well, like McGrady, Joe Johnson's value is at a low coming off of his poor playoffs performance. He's the kind of player, given his skill set, that the Rockets could be targeting that they have a reasonable shot at acquiring. Again, people label players as "garbage" based on a small sample size.

So basicsally the OP is talking about 2010, he doesn't care what happens next year. After all, there's always the year after next year.....

I said it before and I'll say it again, DWade or Joe Johnson would be the perfect fit. It would give this team so many weapons on offense and defensive side. That plus signing Artest would be ideal. Imagine this...

    Top players.
    Yao
    Dwade or Joe Johnson
    Scola
    Artest

    Solid role players
    Battier
    Brooks
    Landry
    Lowry
    Wafer (instant spark)
    Hayes (defensive specialist)

OMG, imagine how the solid role players and your top two players would compliment each other. Your defensive stoppers would revolve around DWade/J.Johnson, Artest, Battier, Lowry, Hayes. This would be lethal.

joe johnson is a HUGE dropoff from wade. like i said, his playoffs career PER is beyond pathetic. and his actual play borderlines luther head for a star player.

The guy really disappeared in the playoffs. He allowed teams to take him out of games easily.

Of course the Rockets do it, but Hornets won't. All they have is CP3, its like asking Indy to give us Granger which isn't happening.
