Atlanta might have less talent than us. But then again we are in the East.

When I talk about the supporting cast, I talk about them in perspective. They are good players, all of them, they just aren't going to cut it in the West, where we play.

Utah? Boozer. Deron. Kirilenko. Harpring. Millsap. Korver. Okur.
LA? Kobe. Gasol. Odom. Vujacic. Farmar. Turiaf. Walton. Radmanovich. All stepping up
PHX? Nash. Amare. Shaq. Diaw. Bell. Hill. Barbosa.
SA? Duncan. Ginobili. Parker. Finley. Horry. Barry. Vaughn. Oberto. Kurt Thomas.
Denver? Melo. AI. Smith. Camby. Martin. Najera. Kleiza.
Hornets? Paul. Chandler. West. Stojakovic. Pargo. Bonzi. Julian Wright.
Dallas? Dirk. Terry. Howard. Bass. Stackhouse. Dampier. Kidd. George.

Rockets? McGrady. Scola. Mutumbo. Alston. Landry. Head. Hayes. Jackson. Brooks.

Good players? Yes. Potential? Yes. Good enough? Not even.

I think the difference of jj's 4th qtr against tmacs 4th qtr is he basically took more shots and made most all of them. If joe didn't make those shots it would be a different story.

I hope you dont choke yourself laughing.

Wow! These 37 win Hawks must be scrubs!?

How many regular season games have you watched the Hawks played in regular season? What's the difference between the Hawks before and after they got Bibby? What's the difference between the Hawks between the 1st 2 losses and 1st 2 wins in their 1st playoff series? I bet you dont even know who's the Hawks best rebounder or scorer.

Most the Rockets except T-Mac, Yao and Battier are late 1st round picks or 2nd round picks, which, according to JVG, should be nailed on the bench and be a good cheerleader.

On the other hand, most of the Hawks are young, high draft picks. Josh Smith + Al Horford are better than your Scolandry. Josh Childress is not far behind from Battier. I read some posters praised Joe Johnson yester-night and wanted T-Mac plays the JJ way. Not to mention Mike Bibby is a better scorer than Rafer Alston.

Atlanta is a bad team in regular season for many other reasons. But yes, the Hawks have better talents than the Rockets when you take away T-Mac + Yao.

Proof: these 37 win Hawks srubs have just beaten 66 win Celtics 2 in a row.

It seems your kindergarden logic to use regular season win to evaluate a team's talent doesnt work here.

I live in GA. I see Atlanta play at least 50 games a year. This team is and for years should have been better than their record suggest. They finally got a veteran PG in Bibby, and even though is numbers don't resemble is play in Sactown, his leadership and veteran savvy remained. Unlike Tyron Lue, he knows when to settle down and get the team back in line. Before Joe Johnson would always have to be the man, and he would fail far more often than not. That's because the team was undisciplined, no movement just stand around and watch JJ or Smith.

Josh Smith(who hasn't peaked) grew up, so did Marvin Williams. Al Horford is a steady post player, and Zaza is a very solid backup C. 29 other teams in the league will take Childress of their bench anyday. Acie Law is capable of knocking down shots.

These guys are now getting comfortable together with Bibby in. They're very talented, very athletic. Most of that team are a bunch of high lottery picks as someone said. Half of our team is a D-League team. D-League meaning they weren't lottery picks and some not even drafted. Minus T-Mac and Yao this team is far more talented that we are. I think it speaks volumes about how good and how valuable T-Mac is that he can take a virtual D-League team to the NBA playoffs and even more about Yao that the two combined can have this team mentioned when you talk of title contenders.

Not that our D-League team is sorry. We have arguably the best chemistry in the league. We just need to add a lil more talent to it.

So yeah, every team in the league has more talent than the Rockets minus T-Mac, but we have better chemistry than every team in the league. So its a wash. Talent doesn't get you anywhere without chemistry(see Denver Nuggets). The Hawks just developed some.

Tracy McGrady is quintuple teamed every time he touches the ball. Even when he doesn't have the ball, he's triple-teamed and hit repeatedly in the back and knee with concealed blackjacks. Anytime he goes up for a shot, at least two opponents slide their feet under him and cause a turned ankle.

    Joe Johnson has it easy.

you're logic is dubious, if they were so freaking good because they are all high round draft picks then maybe they should have won more games before bibby. you can't have it both ways, yeah they were bad before bibby but they were still good but now they're good because look at what they did even though you can't look at what they did before bibby even though were still good.

edit: the comparison anyway should be KG/TMAC not what the Hawks are doing. I really don't care how good or bad the Hawks team is, the Celtics have KG, Pierce, and Allen and a decent supporting cast. on paper they should be better than the hawks, utah, and the rockets

does Joe Johnson have a screwed up knee that needs pain killing/numbing shots every game? or a screwed up shoulder or a screwed up thumb?

Did you see where on the floor Joe Johnson's shots were coming from?

    That's the real difference.

Both look similar to me. Both shooting 21pts a game.

Both shooting at a similar (FG) percent.

Tmac is doing it in less minutes.

As for JJ last night. He had a hell of a game. It was fun watching the Hawks dismantle the Celtics.

Are you F'ing kidding me? Don't you realize that all translates to Tracy taking more shots in less minutes, and making less of them to boot?
