Do you really have to be a liberal to have a problem with a guy ignoring repeated urgings of authorities to run out of his front door blasting a shotgun on the front lawn killing 2 guys with shots to the back all while an unmarked police car had already arrived at the scene to deal with the problem?

It is now "ok" to shoot people in front of your house if you suspect them of wrongdoing. Insanity.

    Jaywalkers beware, I guess.

Let's ignore the fact that these pieces of GARBAGE were stealing someone's property. Let's ignore the fact that one of them were sent to prison and deported once already.

Oh yeah, that's right. These guys were hard working, tax paying, honest citizens.

People like you make me want to vomit. Especially with your 'jaywalkers beware" comment. Open your eyes already.

lets ignore the fact that deportation and theft don't result in death sentences. let's ignore the fact that life (no matter how its been wasted) can never be replaced and property can.

He was threatened by them and he acted. The grand jury, with much more information than what you have, agreed. Justice was served.

...and the people making the argument that since they were shot in the back, then they couldn't have been a threat are just nuts. If you were in the woods and a bear had its back to you, would you not feel threatened? Plenty can happen after a back is turned. The robbers clearly had no moral issue with breaking the law -- who is to say they weren't running back to their car to get a gun? When dangerous people are on the property and in proximity, whether their back is turned or not has no impact on the threat that they pose.

Can anyone explain the pro-burglar, pro-Quannel X argument? I mean, you are defending thieves as if they were angels. Were it not for their presence on the property, none of this happens.

These pieces of TRASH were never going to be productive citizens in this country. They were career criminals.
If they would have been arrested for every crime they have ever committed they would be sentenced to life in prison a long time ago. You thought about that. You deal drugs and burglarize enough (both felonious activities by the way) you go away.
The world is a better place without these two people in it and you can't argue against that.

    Joe Horn is a hero.

Did Joe Horn know this when he shot them? For all he knew, they were a couple of down on their luck guys robbing for the very first time.

Yes justice was served, according to our justice system. I think it is kind of funny how you question everybody else who has said something about their backs being turned and being a minimal threat. Why? You then go to say that Horn WAS threatened when you don't know anymore than anybody else on this board, which is something you commented on in the first part of your post.

I doubt anybody thinks that the burglars were angels and I seriously doubt anybody was defending their actions.

It appears you are ignoring the fact that the reason I'm concerned is because I'd like to prevent having any joe-horn type from shooting his/her gun in my neighborhood because he thinks the mexican down the street is stealing someone's tv.

Perhaps you should open your eyes. Preferably before you pull the trigger.

And you're a cop right?

You're probably one of those people that think these poor criminal's parents just didn't show them enough attention and they should have went to counseling to put a curve to their felonious conduct.

Joe Horn knew something illegal was taking place. He was tired of burglars getting away with stealing other people's property that they bust their ass for.

You play with fire you get burned. Juan and Jose (or whatever their nombre is) were playing with fire. They knew their risk. They knew it was illegal. They got burned. Oh friggin well.

So if a couple of 16 year old teenagers were committing their first burglary, you'd approve of them being shot by a neighbor?

I believe someone said you were a police officer. Is that true? What are your instructions if you come across a couple of thieves that are running/walking away from you? Are you instructed to shoot to kill?
