I don't speak out of my ass... https://web.archive.org/web/2013120...ditional-suspensions-drug-trials-drug-testing Ueberroth said he would require a third group of players - against whom little or no evidence of wrongdoing was found - to submit to drug testing. He imposed no suspensions on those players: Dusty Baker of the Oakland A's; former Phillies players Gary Matthews, now of the Chicago Cubs, and Derrel Thomas, who is not on a major-league roster this season; and Manny Sarmiento, who also is not on a major-league roster. All four were mentioned in testimony at the trial in Pittsburgh.
Yes I am saying that other team’s weren’t doing the same “exact” thing. Were teams stealing signs? Sure. Were they doing it with video relay and trash cans? Probably not. Many players had/have harsh feelings toward the Astros and what they did. That’s probably not the case if their teams were all doing the same exact thing the Astros were. Maybe a few players feign exasperation, but it was way more than a few that expressed anger over the scandal. If everyone was using video technology and trash cans, I think a few more jaded players come forward rather than just Mike Fiers.
Wouldn't it be less players then? Also: Theraguns Apple watches Rogue video coordinators that somehow orchestrated the whole thing (aka - fall guys). And that was just what people went public with.
The Yankees were doing the EXACT thing (where do you think Beltran got this from)? Plus on a segment on the MLB Network where they were talking about sign stealing, Joe Gerardi went brain dead for just a second, and said "while I was with the Yankees this is how we did it" (the EXACT same way the Astros were doing). He realized what he had just said and tried to change the subject instantly. Other teams were doing the exact same thing!!!
The last senence is why I dont understand why Hinch is so revered around here. When it came down to it, Hinch lacked balls on a couple of fronts. And Cole never said he had to start with a clean inning. Hinch said he preferred Cole to start with a clean inning. Use of Mad Bum got Bochy 2 rings, lack of use of Cole cost Hinch a ring.
He told Cole and Cole agreed. Cole was pissed after that game that Hinch didn't bring Cole in. I'm sure you can remember that hat incident.
The main issue was that the Astros talked... which led to Joe Kelly's beloved Alex Cora getting fired. And Mookie being tarnished while at it.
Yeah Cole was a representative of himself. Cole was 1 game away from his 300 million dollar contract. He didn't want to be rushed to come in during the middle of an inning. He had thrown some pitches in a prior inning but being a starting pitcher he needed a much longer ramp up time than a regular bullpen pitcher. Greinke giving up the HR and walk which led to a pitching change happened in a short timeframe.
As a representative of himself, he was more pissed his conditions weren't met for him to come into the game. Mad at the situation, not at Hinch.
Better yet, how come either one of them have jobs in MLB if cheating is that big of a deal and Luhnow doesn't have a job?
