I dont believe they were doing anything differently than the Yankees/Red Sox/Dodgers etc... this still doesn't change the facts.

Pretty much all of it, if you knew things then you would know them already.

then why pretend that hinch "cheated to win" or whatever crap you said earlier? It's a COMPLETELY meaningless thing that everyone was doing, pretending the astros are guilty of something is just purely hating for the sake of hating

    Point out what's not true.

I just dont see Hinch as some god like figure that many in this forum do. I just pointed out a couple of his faults and I get called a bleeping r****d that believes anything the media tells me. Which is the furthest from the truth. Good thing I dont take things too seriously and laugh a lot.

    2017 Astros:

    Road: 501 runs
    Home: 395 runs

Please look at all of the other stats too.

The system didn’t work, that’s not in dispute. The other teams started way earlier and the astros could not catch up by the time mlb stopped it, they weren’t good enough at it. They tried to keep up with the other teams though

    No ****.

But it's absolutely in dispute among some people.

I'm just pointing out facts, not making judgements on whether they could've won without the cheating. In fact I believe they would've won that championship with or without the cheating. Still doesn't change the fact that Hinch could've stopped the cheating and didn't stop it, or that he blew the 2019 WS.

Like I've said before Hinch was a good manager, but not the god many around here considers him to be.

Every team was doing it and there were no rules at the time against it, so there was no actual cheating, that part is false.

There were rules sent out in 2017 I believe.

    Most teams avoided the rules.

Bottom line this was a setup for MLB/Media to get rid of Luhnow.

Right, but that’s not an official league rule. If you say “the astros cheated”, that is a lie, it’s simply not true. There’s no other way to say it

Did you know the DH cannot sit in the bullpen unless he is the bullpen catcher? Imagine if Yordan sat there as DH and still batted. Would that be considered "cheating"?

AJ Hinch is fine. He wasn’t perfect - but generally ran his teams well. He is still around because he did everything the way MLB told him to do it after he was caught. That said - he hasn’t been completely honest about all of it, but whatever…

You could be right, but it’s mind boggling how the architect of the most amazing turnaround in MLB history got black listed! And isn’t allowed back in the club.

There is plausibility that all the toes Luhnow stepped on while he was obliterating the system, kicked his head in when he was down.

But I admit I am still a huge Luhnow fan for how he architected a juggernaut of a team. So I may be biased, and the fact it doesn’t make sense to me might not be commonly shared with others.

Certainly among people that don't want to look up the numbers. That pitcher who said he'd rather face juiced players really pissed me off, because it is so far from reality.

    Did the Astros cheat? Yes
Did they win because they cheated? No
Did they deserve to be punished? Yes
Did others cheat and get away with it? Absolutely, but that happens all the damn time in life.

Hinch was very against the use of cameras to steal signs and according to some reports smashed the monitor below the dugout that was being used to pick up signs. Hinch though was being undermined by Cora and Beltran who had a lot of influence with the players.

I again really recommend seeing the Frontline documentary “Astros Edge” that goes a lot into this.

Then Hinch should’ve had more of a backbone. He should’ve never let that **** get out of hand like that. I rip Dusty all the time but I guarantee he would not have allowed that garbage. Hinch may not have liked it and he may have thrown a tantrum once, but in the end he did nothing about it.
