    I'm don't see why Joe Elliot needs to even make comments like this. Is he that insecure that he has to rip on other bands...to ensure his band is set apart from these bands? The music should speak for itself. The fact is these bands are from the same era and will always come up in the same breath when naming off 80s rock bands...regardless of who the posers are. I do agree that Motley Crue and Poison went farther on the fashion and make-up than Def Leppard ever did. As far as whether that superceded their musical integrity, I don't know about that. I always hated Poison cause they were the worst as far as big hair and make-up...besides just not getting their music (which I considered to be glam/pop rock made for little girls and teeny boppers).

    He was referring to one particular era of Bowie where the character he played was just as important as the music. They are big fans of his.

    I've never heard this.

    The rumor is that Mike Slamer ghosted the guitar leads.
