How much is crypto running up energy prices? All that energy to pump a quasi asset class. We have plenty of history of how economies operate on gold and there’s a reason why fiat is superior which isn’t to be confused without consequences. The Covid related spending is winding down but we still need to spend money on the maintenance that makes this country runs. Being cheap just means less productivity. Is Bitcoin going to be able to fund the green energy transition?
I never mentioned deflation .... You did. What I did mention was the fact that more people puts greater pressure on a limited resource thus the high prices.
So is this like some racist assumption that immigrants = jobless freeloaders? Or are you just brain farting and not realizing they also expand the labor force?
But you never mentioned your solution, only the problem..... I'm all ears to a non deflationary solution towards high population and limited resources.
We had this discussion in another thread and even some of the proponents of Crypto have pointed out that it is adding to inflation due to the energy consumption needed to mine coins. Crypto currencies are here to stay but I don't think they can or should replace fiat currencies. There is a reason why nearly all currencies abandoned the Gold Standard and 2008 with the crisis in liquidity was just a taste of what can happen when money supply can suddenly shrink.
Your primitive, barely literate conservative brain is having a hard time comprehending cause and effect. That’s my mistake. Should I put it into a pop up book? I won’t make it scary! Or I know…
I've answered everything, and sourced an explanation as well. Too bad y'all don't know how to comprehend. It's ok, I understand y'alls insecurities. I would be embarrassed too if I voted for this decrepit administration. Just take your L. Biden sucks and America is some bad shape right now. Do better next time.
Why do you people always leave patriots like Biden such a terrible situation. Dems always need to clean up your messes. Imagine it Trump was an actual leader instead of sabotaging his own Covid response…. Alas…. he’s too fat.
Typical liberal comments, no concept of nuance. If it's not a headline it's simply too difficult for you to understand. I heard somebody refer to liberals as "sub-humans" the other day, and I totally get it. No ability to think independently or critically. Just accept what is fed to you with no contemplation, and follow along. Good luck.
Infrastructure and BBB is not going to impact inflation in 1 year, if it ever even impact general inflation at all. If you are talking about reducing drug prices, yes that will happen but those provisions of the BBB won't be felt until 2023-2024.
ex-energy cost, an outgrowth of the infrastructure bill will be the immediate lessening of bottlenecks at the ports/supply chains; thus i think that there will be less inflationary pressure on consumer goods (from Target, Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, Macy, BBB, TJMax, etc)
Ports of Long Beach / LA have been operating around the clock, 24/7; they also hit cargo that lingers too long w fees Logjam At Port Of Los Angeles Beginning To Ease
Bless your heart…. Conservatives just accept what they are told from a reality tv star without contemplation and follow along… The honey boo boo crowd….
