Denver swept the lakers and are in the finals. media: will lebron retire or stay so he can play with bronny if the lakers draft him
I have no idea. It's possible he would have died anyway. The medical examiner didn't rule it a homicide, he ruled it natural causes. It's possible the stress of the incident caused him to have a stroke, it is possible it didn't. Officer Brian Sicknick: What We Know About His Death - WSJ (archive.ph) He suffered no injuries, per the medical examiner, though he was pepper sprayed. Neither of the people charged with assaulting him were charged in relation to his death. There is just nothing to indicate that he was killed on January 6th.
But that's the main issue for voters? Gas prices and energy prices are polled as the number 1 hardship people are having. Bidens approval rating is strictly correlated to gas prices and this has been graphed. Nook talks about bidens approval as if it's complicated. People want cheap gas and are pissed off that gas is expensive. Biden needs to have the war finished by 2024 either way and have inflation/gas prices back to normal by fall 2024. Voters will always pick the thought of cheap gas over democracy. It's sad but it's America
According to this poll, it's the economy overall: It's not complicated.... we've had the worst inflation/highest interest rates in a generation under Biden and folks are worried. He's not a great communicator and hasn't done a good job of pushing out a constant message. It sucks but narratives do matter.
"Economy" is literally gas prices. Unemployment is literally at 50 year record low. Gas prices and people's perception of the economy still exactly relates to today. Once energy prices go down powell can start cutting rates which would help with the housing market. It all goes hand in hand. People see gas prices every day while their driving so it plays a huge role in their thinking of inflation. If the war ends and gas prices plummet biden will win big. If the war doesn't end then the Saudis and OPEC will screw biden to help trump. I guarantee you
People see a lot of different prices everyday. Really the consumer is the economy and they are becoming more cautious. We can agree to disagree.
If the US decided not to support Ukraine anymore while yes Russia might win it might not bring down gas and food prices quickly. The European allies aren’t likely to give up on Ukraine and the Ukrainians even if the government in Kyiv falls will likely continue to fight an insurgent war. Even without US military support there will likely be continued sanctions on Russia. Also the US abandoning Ukraine will likely shatter NATO and leave Europe scrambling dealing with both a resurgent Russia pressing on the borders of Poland. They will also be dealing with another massive refugee crisis. At this point there is going to be almost nothing for the US to gain from abandoning Ukraine and a lot of downside.
Gas prices are very important but given the Democrats did much better than expected in 2022 with even higher inflation I don’t think it’s the sole or major determinant of elective success.
The issue is biden will get zero credit for his accomplishments as long as gas prices remain elevated. It's a lose lose situation. It's why if I'm biden I want the war to end sooner than later so I can start touting my accomplishments nd have people listen. People don't realize how utterly cheap health insurance right now. I was in Houston at chick fil a and the employee was telling me how her husband has cancer and she makes too much for medicaid. She had no idea that if you're married and make less than 40k you get free good insurance. After helping her secure blue cross blue shield she started crying telling me how her husband might have a chance now. It's just funny when folks like @Nook claim dems don't care about important issues just cuz gas prices are high. This is the mindset of an average voter. The issue is no matter how much biden does on the health care or education front it won't matter if gas prices are high. Americans are stupid and can't think critically.
Regardless of your income with the new biden rules no matter what your income is your health insurance is capped at 8.5% now. This is life changing for tens of millions of small business owners who can have affordable insurance now. If you make under 250% of the federal poverty level you qualify for FREE FULLY subsidized silver plan (low deductible and low out of pocket). If you're a family making middle to lower income you qualify for free insurance. If you've been unemployed for any time of the year you can qualify for FREE insurance. Health insurance has literally never been more cheaper in the history of the country. https://www.kff.org/interactive/subsidy-calculator/ I have a medical equipment company in Indiana and I've gotten over 1k-2k new patients alone who are getting free fully subsidized insurance they've never had before. You literally have no idea what you're talking about
If you live in Houston and you are a family of 5 making under 60k you get FREE cheap insurance right now. You know how huge this is for minorities who's families own small business ? Tens of millions of families now qualify for free healthcare whom don't even know it exists.
Are to blind? *EVERYBODY* in American qualifies to having their insurance capped at 6%. If you are a family of 4 making 90k you still qualify for subsidies. *EVERYONE* gets subsidies now its just depends how much you get. If you're a family of 4 making 60k I hardly count that as "poor" but they get extremely cheap insurance https://www.kff.org/interactive/subsidy-calculator You can use this calculator but *EVERYONE* qualifies for something
Bahahahahaha....I plugged in my household numbers, and the response I got was "You are not likely eligible for financial help." Oh and the cap you are talking about is 8.5%, not 6%....premiums would ONLY cost just north of $900 a month. Yeah, cheap as sh** kid.
How much do you supposedly make and how big is your household? I would wager with you a million dollars your insurance is cheaper now on ACA than what it was before. You do realize having your insurance capped at 8.5% means you're getting help right? What do you think the word "capped" means. https://www.healthinsurance.org/obamacare/subsidy-calculator/ Family of 4 making 100k pay less pay 400 a month. What the hell are you talking about?
