The same bill also allocates money to every single airport and ship port in the nation. Democrats arent focused on important things like repairing broken bridges and decaying infrastructure and providing clean water? Your entire argurment is based off the fact that inflation and gas is high right now so nothing else matters. Health insurance, student loan, infrastructure, etc none of it matters because of inflation. The easiest way to lower gas prices and inflation is ending the war in Ukraine. This is what putin knows and why he started the invasion. Right now in America if you are low to middle income you qualify for fully free insurance. Tens of millions of people who have never had health insurance have it for the first time. Student loans were just slashed for all students by more than half. You are oblivious. Right now most Americans are concerned about inflation, cost of living and do not trust their leaders. That trumps almost anything else. I am not making an argument that the Republicans are better than the Democrats or that the Democrats haven’t done anything - but they need to remember it won’t matter if life is harder than usual for many Americans, and it is - and those in power will get the blame. We can argue about what is and isn’t fair, but it is irrelevant. Get Americans optimistic that their lives are going to get easier - that they can afford a home, etc. and win elections.

If biden threw ukraine to Russia then oil would drop back to 60 dollar range and inflation would be back to 2% range. People would suddenly change their entire perception of the economy as then powell could cut rates and APR rates would go down. Biden approval would go vack above 50%. It's not rocket science what the easiest way to fix the economy. Its to throw ukraine to the wolves and most Americans would be okay with it if it meant cheap gas. Putin knows this.
