Landale played really well end of year and was impressive today. normally, I would be concerned about a log jam at the position. I do think though with Sengun coming off of injury, the depth is amazing. Not to mention the skill sets between the three players are pretty varied. I also think we could play Sengun at PF next to both against certain teams for a few minutes at a time. We can make a call around February if we want to try to extend Adams and get trade value out of jock or just trade Adams as an expiring.
Having depth is extremely underrated Rox are fine with 3 good centers and it doesnt take much if any cap at all this year. If we end up extending Adams then we can look to trading Jock for assets next year since Sengun will likely end up getting the max.
May not be the premiere Center in the league . . . but Name 10~15 Centers that are better? Name 10 BackUp Centers who are better? Landale is a back up . . . if we can get Harty Production out of THE BACK UP I think I can live with that Rocket River
IDK how Landale gets any minutes. If Sengun gets say 32 and Adams 16, where are Landale's minutes coming from? Are we cutting Sengun's or Adam's minutes so Landale gets some? I kinda doubt it.
Every team needs a 3rd center for a variety of reasons, injury, foul trouble, match ups, rest days, twin towers days, etc. Landale is great even as a second center, we have riches at center. Also, Adams is only signed through this season and not guaranteed to be fully recovered.
Depending on Adams' health, if he is healthy, he's probably the preferred backup C. If that's the case, Landale's minutes will be irregular depending on situations. If Adams is no longer the player he was before the injury, then Landale and Adams might share the backup minutes. And Jabari might get more center time.
Adams hasn't played an NBA game in 18 months. I'll wait to see how he looks before considering Landale superfluous. Also, both of their salaries might be used in a trade. It's better to have Landale under contract this year for that salary flexibility than not.
Are we sure Adams is better at this point? Jock was awful to start the year but if health was actually the problem I kinda think Adams would be the guy we'd look to move. Jock has been pretty good
