With FVV signing at 25mil per year, the Rockets would only have to decline team option on A Holiday’s contract to get a full 14 mil MLE. I have a hard time believing that they would cut Landale now, which would mean that they are giving up hope to trade for Giannis. Landale contract will be crucial in the salary matching.
It may be smart to break that MLE up into a few smaller contracts. Keep Holiday - cut Landale and Jeenathan, and see if there is a shot blocking big around for a 3rd string center or a 3rd string emergency PG....and hit go. DD
