    This isn't actually that true, but it's definitely what people who want the government to take no action to alleviate misery want you to believe.

    oil is almost down to $95 (at least west texas) and brent is also falling. people will see the drop at the pump soon enough. a significant drop in gas prices will be a big boost to the economy (and the oil majors will still be making enough money to not lay off workers) a win win situation
