Working in high finance requires alot of networking. Most people who get these Wall Street type jobs have some sort of connection or another. Either a recommendation from an existing employee or by meeting management member somehow. Rarely do they hire people straight out of college. You can get in entry level as an intern, but that usually is done whilst you are still in college.
Most people who work in the IT industry absolutely hate it. I'm a software engineer make great money and I hate it.

Graphic artist in a way. I get to create killer backgrounds for presentations. Photographer in a way. I take a lot of pictures of products and life sceens for the presentations. But they really pay me for my presentations. I don't give them, just create them. Not much I don't know about Powerpoint. RR
