Job speculation begins

    That's not the problem. Houston Texans are one of the premier destinations in the NFL right now. You don't find a roster this good, fans this supportive, and an owner so forgiving very easily. Most established coaches would lean towards coaching Houston than even the Dream Team (relentless fans) and America's Team (overbearing owner).

    The Texans can have their pick of head coaches.

    We need Cower here so he can implement the 3-4. That would make our defense so much better.

    As far as we know, Cowher last year indicated he was interested in the Texans job (when it looked like it would be available). And MNF extensions are worthless - there's no way Gruden doesn't have an out-clause if he chooses to return to coaching.

    We, as fans know squat. Indications mean nothing in this business. Hell we all thought the Texans had a good shot at getting Brandon Lloyd, but that didn't happen. If you really think Cowher wanted to come here, Mcnair would have gotten that done. He's stupid but not that stupid.
