Too early still. I mean, we havent even had the yearly 3 game losing streak or reached the yearly 5-7 mark yet! Not too early for John Clayton though. http://espn.go.com/nfl/notebook/_/page/lastcall1105/john-clayton-last-call
Someone else mentioned it earlier...completely terrified that Mario and AJ's injuries are going to give Kubiak another escape clause with McNair. I can't imagine he'd keep him if we crumble again but....
Might be tempted? Kubiak should have been fired years ago, and most fans have given up on seeing him held accountable for the numerous hairballs the Texans have coughed up during his tenure.
Firing Kubiak after bringing in Phillips is what scared me last year. You retool your defense, change your philosophy, and then what happens if Kubiak is fired? You have to either stay 3-4 or eliminate guys like Gruden from the conversation. Anyways... Fisher, Gruden, Cowher - sign me up.
WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!! These injuries make Kubiak UNTOUCHABLE again Hell . . we will still make the playoffs. Then we can strap in for 4 more years of mediocrity Rocket River
The Detroit ****ing Lions are 5-0. They went 0-16 three seasons ago. They were 2-14 two seasons ago. We were 2-14 6 ****ing seasons ago. What the ****? The Lions can make a turnaround like that in 3 seasons (yeah, I know the season isn't close to being over yet) and we can't do it in 6? Me thinks we've seen all that Gary is capable of giving us and it just ain't enough.
If Bob finally fires Kubes we all know Wade will be promoted to HC. I just cant see him spending money on a Gruden/Cowher. I was hoping we got Gruden but no chance that ever happens.
AJ is only going to be out for a few more games. Any coach with half a brain should be able to still win this division with Mario gone for the season. He'll be gone if he can't. And Wade Phillips is in Dom Capers territory right now. Everybody knows he's a bad head coach, but an exceptional coordinator.
Don't do that. The Lions last winning season was before the Texans existed. It hasn't been a 3 season turnaround.
