Thank God. Finally we know what happened...... Strange that the girl would say something like that to you though... did you get to know her? Just seems like there would be risk involved from her side.
Just typing this stupid post gets me depressed. And its not like I never lost out on a position before. Its just the matter it all went down. Hell, I am getting depressed again....
Nah. She is outta there, I think. She had SUCH an attitude, though. I wonder sometimes if I even should believe her. But whatever. Two weeks later and I think about this crap still. I just wish I would of did what I knew was right. By the way, that recruiter NEVER has returned a phone call from me after all this. I feel like showing up over there and punching her in her....knee cap!
sort of sounds like that girl is just starting rumors. If its such a great position why hire someone thats not even done with college? Something just isnt jiving here.
Hope so. Check this out. I have a 3rd interview at ANOTHER Ivy League college (medical center campus). They asked me why I would leave where I was and I essentially was honest (no more shady stories!) and told them what happened. And they are all into "not letting that happen again because all colleges are not the same and they value their employee...blah, blah, blah... I didn't want to go into another university. You tend to get lost in the mix. But hey. Beggars can't' be chooz.....E!
Good point. Still, its ironic how far I was ahead of the game and out of the blue, someone comes and take my spot. I mean, sure, I made a mistake. But I DOUBT she could do a better job than I could or had the references I have. But then again....I could be wrong.
By the way... I want to thank all you folks. Seem like you really care whats going on. Or even if you are faking it cuz you like gossip, thanks anyway.
ZOMG! He lives! Sorry to hear about it man, kind of like I said 27pages ago or so. There'll be another opportunity. Next time, don't make the same mistake again and tell everything as it is to your potential future employer.
Thanks for the update. Sorry for the way it turned out for you. Good luck finding something new before the holiday season.
I agree with this...women are catty. I bet that secretary or whatever just feels threatened by a new, attractive, intelligent woman in the office. It's sad. Seriously though, good luck Almu. No lies.
if there's any truth to that call...you're lucky you didn't get the job. seems they valued your integrity so much because the management team was running on empty.
Legendary? Ish...I just wanted advice! Some counsel! But...I guess it is what it is. Hey! How about this question... I have an interview TONIGHT at this university medical center. They had to do it at night because they are SO busy wrapping up their budget process. The thing that caught my ear (all interviews have been done by the phone and this is the final) was that the Controller that was there, suddenly quit in the middle of the whole process. And they are now scrambling for a suitable replacement. They are really pissed he up and left them during such a busy time. Now... Is that something GOOD to say to someone who you are interviewing?? Can I ass-u-(and)me that its a bad job? And, they literally work OUT OF A BASEMENT! Um...is that good. Not like I can be picky. But that is an UGLY image about a place that is ranked top 10 in universities. Are they all so damn cheap!!!!!
I would take this to the investors, or tell the CEO that you intend to take it to investors based on what you had heard. Screw it what have you got to lose? DD
