I'm not really strapped for cash right now - and the internship would only last the rest of the season (April - May or hopefully June)

Best thing to do is to check the NBA team job website and search for "Rockets"
    http://nbateamjobs.teamworkonline.com/teamwork/jobs/jobskey.cfm?s=Rockets
But mainly they hire interns during the offseason, but the Astros and Texans also offer internships if that's something that would interest you- just google Houston Astros jobs or Houston Texans jobs.

Don't start making plans to spend that 5.85 until you're offered ;)

Go kick some butt! Hope you got it.

I had the web internship with the Rockets in 2005. I wasn't paid, only for course credit. I remember I worked with a guy that already graduated from college and he was working for minimum wage. I would think "why is he here if he graduated from college already?!" However, the positives of the internship is that we got to see the players and everything else.

Interview went well today, however the person I would be interning for is my age (she just graduated in May like me) and would be my boss basically - I'd be doing all her grunt work like answering phones/filing/calling people. Plus the Group Sales isn't for Rockets tickets but for Toyota Center special events. I would be targeting kids groups/school groups to come attend shows like Doodlebops, Playhouse Disney, and The Harlem Globetrotters.

What sucks is that the Texans also have an internship opening with Customer Services but they won't be calling me in for an interview this week, but seemed interested in doing so next week.

If I get offered the internship with the Rockets I'll have to decide whether or not to take it or hold out and try and work for the Texans.

    I'll keep you guys posted.
