Are you serious?? You guys all cheat in your resume?? I should make poll and see how many people cheat in their resume. If it's over 50%, I'll cheat on mine too
Man, I can't say lying on your resume is a bad thing because it worked out for me before. Just as long as you know what your lying about so you can BS during the interview without flinching. If you need help, or just want to look at nice eye candy, Dayna at the WorkSource Westheimer location is very helpful to the point that you may pop a chubby while she helps you, she is a bonafide cutie. There's just something about a hottie helping you find employment while you strain to look down her blouse while she has her attention to the screen...
Which company was this? Are they still around? This sounds kind of like what I'm doing now, but we're getting laid off in the fall. My buddy who works here hasn't found anything else yet and he doesn't even have any leads.
I just took a job with my brother's company based in Houston. I'm in Austin and am supposed to basically pull a lot of documents and photos from the state. They're an environmental consulting firm. I've never worked out of the house before and so far, I don't like it. I've never worked for such an unorganized place in my life. One of the major things I look for in a job is that I am given the tools to succeed. So far, I have had to ask for everything. The owner even tried to talk me out of getting on their health insurance. The pay is less than what I wsa previously making as well. The one benefit is the hours are what I make of them and that gives me time to find something else. I'd hate to screw over my brother, but he's just going to have to understand that I'm going to do what's best for me and my family.
I got my BS in Advertising from UT-Austin in 1983. That's why I've been working in Information Technology for the past 20 years.
Hey I got a question? Do employers care if you have a DUI conviction on your record? Should I mention it? I got busted when I was 18 and 20. Nothing so much as a speeding ticket since. Plus, I don't drink... at least not like I used to.
Don't put that on there. Let them find on their own and plea ignorance. We were all young once. Now if it is a fed job, that might be different.
I never had to lie on my resume. I've always done impressive work for good companies. I just hope that future employers don't think I'm lying though.
