See a whole lot of comments about taking the job, yet I'm one of four who actually voted yes.

I've been working fulltime without major interruption for about 8 years now, while taking several semesters at 12-15 hours and honestly didn't think it's interrupted my studies. Never failed a class and I think have one C on my transcript.

Well, my friend....just because everyone else cheats their parents doesn't mean it's right.

Your advice is sound, except the not telling the parents part. Grades being less than or equal to networking....maybe, maybe not. Depends on the career.

If he could do what you suggest in an honest way, I'd be behind that. Lying and breaking a parent/kid trust....horrible idea.

There's an ideal that's been lost called 'character'. People in the West worship 'personality'- how flashy you are, how much cash you have in your pocket, how low you ride in your benz. But **** all that. You surround yourself with personalty people, and you won't have a friend when the sky gets dark.

Surround yourself with people of strong character by being someone of strong character and you will have friends for miles when the going gets tough.

It may not be the easy way at first, but the road less traveled sometimes makes all the difference.
