If Watt or Adrian Peterson do not win the MVP, it takes a lot of esteem out of the award, in my opinion. Both are having all-time great seasons. Brady and Manning, while both having great seasons, have seen many people at their position have those kind of seasons. Yes, If Watt does not win MVP, we may very well never see a defensive player win the award again.
