Just between me and you, and since there's no possible way to differentiate between them...who is the best NFL player in Houston history? Watt/Earl/Moon?
Not sure... but Watson ascending rapidly and would make for a great Mount Rushmore of Houston football.
Easily Earl and I wasn't even alive for those runs. Oilers in the AFC title game? Bet there was a lot of sexing going on celebrating after that divisional win!
Man, that guy was so good. He had Larry Fitzgerald hands mixed with a Rob Gronkowski prime athleticism.
Watson is soo fun to watch and im finally realizing after 3 and a half seasons his arm strength was underrated by everyone. He is definitely getting better. His numbers are backed by his ability and he can get better. He is still young and raw. He can be more polished even though he has incredible fluidity
I think for the top 3 NFL players in Houston history you have Earl Campbell and JJ Watt's spots locked up forever because there is an argument they are the best ever at their position, the last spot could go to Dre over Warren Moon but he lost some of his shine the way he went out throwing a tantrum and playing for division rivals. If he maintains his trajectory and takes one final step forward, I think we'll be putting Watson in that final spot eventually.
Man that is a tough tough question - Earl was the Oilers - and I was like 13 when in 1977, so man that guy mean everything to Houston. But JJ, he has done the same for the Texans, by far their best player ever.... Maybe that is the way to do it.....Earl was the best on the Oilers and JJ the best on the Texans.......seems fair. DD
