Don't underestimate the Texans ability to drive their assets, err, franchise players into the ground.
If you're citing Arian Foster as your only example on this, then you might want to rethink your argument.
I recall Foster griping every time he didn't get the ball. Had Schauby not got injured Foster would have got us a ring that year. His games against the Bengals/Ravens in the playoffs were sooooo impressive.
Bring Watt back game 2, same with Nick Martin. I don't think we will need much to beat the bears, but PLEASE don't let us lose to KC again at home. They are the Rangers to our Astros right now.
Really starting to think that Watt will be ready to go by Week 2, maybe even Week 1. Would rather play it safe with him but we already know he is a genetic freak.

LOL, so basically who do you believe, "Texans source" or JJ himself. Personally I want him to take it slow to make sure he's back for good when he gets back.
It better be this. Too soon is really really dumb. At some point, Texans medical staff has to protect JJ from himself.
No reason at all to start practicing until game week at the very soonest. Even that's pushing it IMO.
Sources: Texans star J.J. Watt may or may not practice next week and may or may not play week one. More to come...
Let him take his time...we really need others to step up. The dude carried our team for a while. It'd be nice if someone else took some pressure off his back literally... Mercilus looks like he took a big step last year. Hopefully Clowney does so this year. AND stop running him out on offense. PERIOD.
This. The guy is a perfectionist. But Bill O'Brien really needs to look out for his future career...and put his a$$ on the bench till he is a 100%.
I'm sure JJ takes pride in that ironman streak, so if I were Bill I would play him one snap and then shut him down on that first game.
