How many tackles for loss. He got at least 2-3 yesterday alone.

Olajuwatt. I like that. Someone needs a customized #99 jersey.

J.J. Watt has arguably been the best defensive lineman (definitely best 3-4 end) since midway last year. Pretty impressive.

    found this interesting:

    Sack Leaders, 3-4 DE , 2010-12 Seasons

    Player Sacks
    Justin Smith 16.0
    Calais Campbell 16.0
    J.J. Watt 11.0*

    * Did not play in 2010

Heard on 610 that Bruce Matthews was quoted in saying from what he's seen so far JJ Watt is way better than Ray Childress.

Uh... I'm pretty sure everybody already agreed with that Bruce.

The common comparison seems to be Howie Long... who is a HOFer. Childress was very good, but not quite HOF calibur.

But it's nice to hear it from a former player like Bruce who was teammates with Ray.

I'm actually thinking he can get to the level of Reggie White and Bruce Smith comparisons.

If not now then when he is the most dominant defensive player in the NFL right now.

Same thing I wondered when Wade Phillips said he was a future HOF in pre season. It's ok dude, go ahead and accept it. I have.

The way he's playing now he should be compared to those guys. The key is can he keep it up?

Contemporary comparisons make me cringe, but I can admit , he is playing really well.

But to jump to Reggie White and Bruce Smith? Hall of Famers??? Players who dominated for YEARS.

He's got to stay healthy, and he can't let his next payday distract him, but he has the talent to redefine his position.
