He has been stalking me for a while now trying to acheive greatness by bringing down the master....

    It will not happen.

The master is not the grasshopper !!

Maybe he wants to stay on a team that has at least a REMOTE chance of winning.

I think it was more about where he was going than where he was leaving.

I'm a JJ fan and sorry to see him go. I certainly do feel a certain sympathy for him.

On the other hand, this whole thing about the team/JVG/CD stabbing him in the back and not showing loyalty seems so off base to me. Does anybody besides me remenber that when JJ was a rookie for th Mavericks he held out? He held out a really long time and was the last rookie to sign, and by a couple of weeks. When Dallas aquiesed to his demands, he still did not sign, because he demanded he be paid for the time he held out! It's a business folks, move on. You reap what you sow.

As to the "moving the family" issue. I get so tired of hearing millionaires saying it's not about me, it is just for my family. Just be a man and say I dont like it. You play half your games on the road no matter where you live. And then you get six months off to live wherever you want. If it really is the family, leave them in Houston till the end of the school year, and get a flop apartment (or five star hotel - what am I thinking) in New Orleans for yourself. Hey it's not like theya re going to make a long playoff run.

Yeah and my heart would go out to those folks that lost jobs during the holidays just as I am sympathetic to JJ. JJ did get screwed and that is a simple fact not obscured by how much money he made or the fact he plays in the NBA. I hope it works out for JJ, he has got a few miles left and he should be playing somewhere he wants to play.

JJ should be used to this garbage. He just needs to suck it up. Pissing and moaning does nothing but lose fan respect. I thought he was above this type of behavior.

Go back to work JJ. It's only fricken basketball.

This is JJ's 11th NBA team, and I do not remember him moaning about any of the previous trades. JJ has been a class act since he has been with the Rockets. There must be an underlying reason why JJ is so pissed.

    Hornets suspend Jackson

The Rockets' trade of Jim Jackson to New Orleans on Monday was completed on Wednesday when the Hornets opted to waive their right to have Jackson go through a physical, instead suspending Jackson indefinitely without pay for failing to report within 48 hours.

The Hornets could have rescinded the deal, sending Jackson and Bostjan Nachbar back to the Rockets and keeping David Wesley. The Hornets can trade Jackson, but he can not be combined with other players in a deal for 60 days.

"I was concerned," Wesley said. "There was some doubt flying around in my mind what will happen.

"You never know what will happen in the last minute. I'm glad it's done."

Hornets officials said that after talking to Jackson and his agent, Mark Termini, they do not know when he might report.

Jackson, 34, could not be reached for comment Wednesday. A phone call to Termini was not returned.

Jimmy J got jobbed - he took less money (like Cat) to play here, thought he'd end his career here, then got thrown in as an afterthought as part of an idiotic trade to the worst team in the league.

Yeah, I can see why he's pissed.

    Poster: DaDakota, you are wrong.
    DaDakota: No, I'm not.
Poster: Da, here are the facts proving you are wrong.
    DaDakota: I don't believe them.
Poster: Here is the person who discovered those facts explaining why you are wrong.
    DaDakota: I don't believe him.
Poster: Ok, this is the person you are talking about fully admitting that what you are saying is wrong.
DaDakota: Somebody must've forced him to say that, because even he knows it isn't true.
    Poster: [gets gun; shoots self]
DaDakota: See, you knew you were wrong all along.

He took less money to play here? If that's true, he surely exchanged it for a guaranteed three-year contract that he hadn't been able to get.

I normally hate it when people think athletes should shut up because they play a game for millions of dollars. However, this is one case where I agree with them. Unless you had a trade clause in your contract, you have to abide by the terms of the guaranteed contract you signed, or you deserve to have people call you unprofessional.

Can he sit out a year and hook up with any other team or does NO have his rights indefinitely...

RM I see what you're saying, but with JJ it seems there was somehting else. Like he had finally found a damn place where he fit in & played his role well.

    Just a sense of loyalty.

This - the aura, the character, the rep - just does not seem like the Rockets team I grew up with.

He'd have to sit out the rest of this season and next - and try to sign with someone in 2006 after sitting out a year and a half from not reporting after a trade. With that record and his age, I don't see many GM lining up to sign him. He has little choice but to play for NO or retire.
