JJ, Boki traded to New Orleans for Wesley

How much influence do you think JVG had on this trade? He loved JJ..

 

I think this is pretty much it as far as moves the Rockets can make. JJ was the only decent role player left on the team with any trade value, and Boki was the only young player left on the team with any potential (outside of Yao). What else can the Rockets do now?

Matt Jackson at 610 claims jvg makes all the moves CD was leaving when he got hired but JVG wanted him to stay so he signed for 2 more years. He wanted CD to stay around for the connects etc.

 

Layoff anyone older than 30, including JVR and CD.

 

yeah well Jackson's contract was the same..they have the same stats..Wesley will know his role. I hope he can play some decent defense..I think he can.

And Boki was gone..he wasn't going to resign to a team that never plays him..

Maybe we're a little desperate..but we needed to shake it up a bit. Exciting to me..

 

We just gave up ALL of our legit small forwards for another combo guard??? So, now T-Mac is going to play small forward with Wesley and Sura in the backcourt???

Our defense just got worse and our shooting didn't improve. Plus, we got older and smaller.

Both JJ and Wesley are approximately the same age. They were both born in 1970. Wesley's contract runs into next season which is similar to JJ.

My guess is that Wesley was brought in because CD thinks he is a better 3 point shooter than JJ. I think that is pretty much false just from looking at the stats for both players.

There needs to be PJ Brown in this deal or else, this is BS.

 

Actually, it will more likely be Bowen.

 

I do not understand this trade. We got the good deal out of Atlanta, then we get jipped on another trade 4 days later...Man, this is crazy. JVG must really be wanting to keep his job

 

Wasn't Jimmy like our leader..well I guess there were some problems. They said there were disputes or whatever..I don't know but yeah I would rather have Nene. Too late now. Hopefully one more deal...Mo and Howard have to separate.

 

I never heard of any disputes...The only one I heard of was Maurice and JVG. Oh well, it doens't suprise me with JVG's style. This is a crazy trade.
