Can someone give me any clue as to what our starting rotation will be?

I'm completely lost looking at this roster..

I said last night in the My thoughts on the team and the BBS, and in my inflammatory thread re: Yao Ming sucking that JVG has made a mistake by relying on offense sets so myopically focused on the immediate are of the basket. a guard that knowcks down jumpers and can distribute the ball is extraordinarily important. Without fear of jumpers, defenders can collapse on Yao in the point or gravitate toward McGrady on drives to the basket. David Wesley can give us the point production that we lost with Boki and JJ in just one player. We'll be fine without them, although i had and have high hopes for Boki and tons of respect for JJ. David Wesley is proven as an outside shooter and perimeter defender. Plus he's strong enough to body up point guards that are bigger than he is. We can also run a great backcourt with Sura and Wesley at the helms with T-Mac, J-Howard and Yao filling out the roster. However you cut it, this deal works for us. And Charlotte, which is in bad need of bodies, gets a young slasher with outside shooting potential, and a player that can jump right into the offense and be a leader.

TMac's versatility at the 2 and 3 allows for this trade. He can defend either position. The Rockets have gotten torched by the point guard bigtime. Check out 82games.com. The point guard position has a -6.3 PER which is atrocious. Everyone knows the power forward position bites for the Rockets. That position has a -7.1 PER. The Rockets cannot constantly let the point guard playmakers just school the Rockets' point guards like when Brevin Knight drove on Sura for the last Bobcat play in regulation. Wesley is probably more adept at defending the quicker point guards. Sura gets schooled bigtime by quick guards.

The Rockets have to contend with the likes of Steve Nash, Bibby, and Tony Parker. Sura and his gimpy knee will get torched as if he was a statue. Wesley is no star, but this guy fortifies the point guard position defensively which is essential since Lue left the team.

Wesley has never been a PG, he is a great shooter but an undersized SG. We might be the oldest team with the smallest backcourt now! I have to assume that there is another deal for a SF in the works.

At face value, a terrible trade.

Upon closer inspection...no, no, still a terrible trade.

If the Rockets want to get young, they need to keep every single draft pick.

Padgett needs some time at the 3. He'll have 3 games to see if he can beat out Bowen for the backup SF position.

im worried Karl Malone might come here as well...

    reason:

    1. he's old.. JVG and CD likes old people
    2. we might have a few dough left over and karl could be on his way here plus he would def. get alot of playing time here leaving us to deal Maurice Taylor out or Juwan Howard out like they expected to do sometime this season.
    3. plays dirty, JVG loves being dirty.. (see leg grabbing)
    4. JVG loves to irritate the fans once in awhile knowing we hate malones guts.
    5. Malone fits JVG system (reason not true.. but thats the reason for every player coming in our team now-a-days.. fitting in JVG's system"

I read somewhere else that Washington offered Dixon, Jeffries and cash for JJ/Boki, and Toronto offered Lamond Murray and Milt Palacio.

    Any truth to this?

Jeffries would have given us a legit 3..
