I like the trade. It would be better if it's Bowen instead of Boki

Matt Jax on sports radio 610 said we asked about PJ Brown and N.O. wanted a first round draft pick...

this trade is very interesting and perhaps shocking to say the very least but i for one can't wait to see this new lineup in action.

I remember sitting at the Houston v. New Orleans game on December 7, 2004, thinking that David Wesley was having a career night. He ended up 7-13, with 18 points:

Typical Rockets' deal. Someone has a career game against them, and they either make a deal for them or sign them up as a free agent. Makes you think the Rockets only scout the players in games where they are the opponent.

If JVG b!tching gets us into the playoffs, then we are a lock for the finals.

We'll be playing the bucks without 2 of our starters.:(

I am hoping Bucks sucks, and Barry continues his nice play.

It's 32.5 years old avg if you take away Yao and T-mac. There is nothing wrong with it if this young stars and old role players lineup can work out though.

Rockets gave up JJ's defense on small forwards and rebounding to get Wesley's ball handling and assists. If Wesley can shoot as well as JJ, this is a good trade.

I think CD/JVG are insane or something. I mean, I was not too fond of JJ, but somehow, I think we could have gotten much more than that?

This is a horrible trade. JJ and Boki for Wesley is rubbish.

I certainly hope there is another move coming, but I don't see how we could possibly trade anyone else we have on our roster. I don't think abother trade is coming. What you see is what you are going to get for the rest of the year in my opinion.

I've said it in almost every post I have ever made and I am now forced to say it again:

CD has got to be the worst GM in the history of Houston professional sports. All sports. For all time. Ever.

    Look at our roster!

A year ago, this team had so much potential. We were young and athletic and, even though we didn't play smart basketball, there was the potential for growth.

This team now has VERY little growth potential.

We are loaded down with old players and bad contracts and, as it currently stands, the only players we have that could be traded in the future are Yao and TMAC.

Take a moment to let that sink in.

Want to make another trade? Too bad. You can't. Who would want anyone on this roster? The entire team is now LOADED with old and untradeable basketball players.

News flash: Old basketball players have a tendency to get hurt! See Charlie Ward for example. See Bob Sura for another example.

With CD's miserable draft history, what are the odds of improving that way?

With the CONTRACTS we now have, how can we hope to get better in the free agent market? We won't have any money to spend because it will be all tied up in people like Charlie Freakin' Ward!

I thought the number one problem on this team was with the power forwards. I thought that was obvious to just about anyone who has ever watched a basketball game. I'm sure glad we traded away all of our hopes in improving in that area for another old combo guard instead! Yee-haw!

We better all hope that Yao and TMac can win with this group, because if they can't it is going to be a VERY long next couple of years. Outside of the two of them, the cupboard is about as bare as I think I have ever seen a professional basketball team before.

Thanks a lot CD and Jeff!

Not to mention we throw in Boki so we basically gave away 2 players to get 1 that basically does the same thing JJ does? i mean they couldn't even get a scrub from that team in return or threw in someone else to get PJ or someone else...they are making some really bad moves.

We lost the one person on our team that was left with heart and desire.

If a trade does not get us to the playoffs and makes us contenders...why make it? Wesley is 34 now...how many years does he have left? Will we be serious championship contenders today or 2-4 years from now because of this trade? I don't see it...I someone can show me, then do so please!

Will David Wesley bring his racing gloves with him?

Agree, I am willing to bit that the Rockets got Wesley to trade away to another team for a big man. Otherwise, this is complete BS, JJ for Wesley straight up would not have been great, but slightly more acceptable.

    Just a guess though!

    low blow, man..

But since we're already going to hell here, maybe he can convince MoT and Juwan to have a drag race with him.
