OK, first we get rid of Francis, Mobley, and Cato. Now this, well it was nice being a Rockets fan while it lasted, Go Magic!!!! Go Hornets!!!!!! Thanks JVG, the Rockets have just lost one more fan, good job at keeping the Toyota Center empty, now the only reason i see myself going there is to boo JVG, or maybe i'll just watch the other teams through NBA league pass, screw this. Im gone.

He's shooting 38%. I don't want any more of those players for that money. :)

Only in your fantasy world will Wesley be guarding either of those guys.

My first impression is that I am not a very big fan of this trade, however, I see that it could work in some ways if Barry and Wesley complement Yao and Tracy better.

Having said that, I feel terrible for Jimmy Jackson. :( He did all he was asked to do and more, and he finally felt secure and stable with a team. His reward for this - another trade!

I'm just wondering if we are doing a deal with Toronto to bring in Jalen and Donyell. Deke, Spoon??????? TE????? Rose and McGrady would be the length that we are looking for at the 2 and 3 spots along with Rose's playmaking ability. Yeah, I know most fans don't want to see Rose here, but I think it would be interesting to see if he would bust butt here with Van Gundy. He has the potential to be a very good defender, he has good handles, he sees the floor well, and he can hit the midrange shot really well. I think it would be hard to double off TMac and leave Rose open, especially if we had Donyell at the 3 point line.

We traded two similar players around the same age and threw in our only developable youth. What is to question here other than Wesley and CD are from Baylor. Boki is now definitely out of the doghouse.

    Good riddens.

We have much bigger problems if Boki was our developable youth after 3 years of barely scratching the court with his PT.

it's official, JVG is using the NY Knicks as a model to make the rockets....look at our team now, doesn't it remind u of the knicks.....only inside/outside players, no guys that are slashers......

personally i think it was a bad trade, but, i predict another trade for a sf in the works..... *sigh*

do you think JJ figured he was going to be traded?

yesterday after the post game interview.. he didn't seem too happy

nor when jon barry was greeting him and encouraging him on how well he did last night.. jj didn't budge

Some are judging this trade too quickly. Lets see how it works out on the court.

I loved JJ, but the most maddening part of his game was his TOs. For a weakside shooter who handled the ball very little, he averaged a ton of TOs, especially the stepping out of bounds ones.

Wesley is hard nosed, and very unselfish. I think hell be a good fit.

    Evolution folks. Let it be.

    Wesley: 38.9% FG
    Posey: 37.6% FG

But me, I'm inclined to take the player that is 7 inches taller and 7 years younger. Especially if I'm trading out my entire small forward depth chart for said player.

Well, I saw David Weasley play two times this year and the impression that I came away with was that he was done... finished. He didn't look 35. He looked 70. I was wondering why the Hornets still started him. And now guess what, he will be starting for my team. Oh hell!

This guy won't help the Rockets a bit. Mark my words.

No way in the hell JVG would want J. Rose & Mashall as his players. Those two only play at one end of the court.

Man...Charlie opens up his show talking about the trade and then promptly switched to the Texans, Carlos Beltran, Reggie White, Peyton Manning record, and NFL playoff scenarios for the rest of the segment????

    What's up with that? ;)

btw ...i think people's abnormal love affair with Boki is clouding their judgement. He somehow acheived cult hero status around here while acomplishing ZERO. He was a salary throw in to make this deal work.

Also, whenever JVG talked about problematic players on the team and player who didn't play with "heart and effort", I always got the feeling that JJ was one of the guys he was referring to.

Just a hunch though. Maybe his TOs were an example of that?
