the crazy thing is, all the dumbass fakers fans i know in LA, going back decades, have always openly bragged "don't worry we'll be back soon, stern/silver will give us some stars"

This would've make sense if the Rockets weren't "very confident about getting him/being in the lead" though.

    Windhorst:

We hear nothing on Jimmy which means he doesn't have a 5-year max and probably doesn't have a 4-year max to be quite honest. He'll meet with the Heat. With Redick going to New Orleansa, it does open maneuverability for Philadelphia in a S&T. They like Josh Richardson but it's the 2nd or 3rd person they'd need to make it work. Butler doesn't have the contract he thought he'd get so he's lookign around

I've been saying forever that Butler is just a diva that wants to get paid and be top dog without anybody stepping at him...

all this talk about him wanting to win... lol... some folks will believe anything if they see it in a quote...

Huh?? Is that a Banana Boat reference?? Because you do realize Chris Paul, another member of the Banana Boat, is on this team and we just made him really damn rich, right??

Huh? The Rockets have been prepared to max Butler from the jump. It’s more like he just wants to go Miami and it’s his preferred destination

Butler wants the max, first team that can/will give it to him will be his team. If wolves had restructured & extended his contract last october, he'd happily still be in minnesota,

You think the Rockets haven't offered him a max? More likely is he wants Philly or Miami to offer him one

Your Winter work home overlooks a white sand/blue water beach and you've got a 50 foot cigarette boat out back to go fishing.

For 5 years though ? I'm in the camp that thinks Morey wouldnt have gone all in and leaked things if he didnt feel Butler wanted to come. Seems like if it was life style this would have been known from the start.

Maybe vise versa thou. We were used to get Miami to offer more

Morey will definitely max him, the problem is he can't since the Rockets like the Heat, need Philly to agree to actually pull it off. Any team with cap space that CAN and WILL offer him the max contract will get him IMO. Shelburn and Windhorst are both reporting that they believe the Sixers have NOT presented Butler with either the 4 or 5 year max.

IMO this is Butler applying pressure to the Sixers, dude wants his max.
