Honestly, I would've liked the Rockets to get Schoder as part of the deal. I'm surprised they didn't try to take him just as a salary dump. He's probably as good a PG as you can possibly get on the market without having to give up real stuff.
I believe this move puts the Warriors right in the middle of the hunt for a spot in the play-in tournament.
They can put in a smaller salary to match. And if needed give the Jazz a couple of 2nd round picks to take on the salary.

You are forgetting all the other players they lost. Anderson and Schroder were still part of the regular rotation. I will be surprised if they end up better.
