How good is this guy, because it looks like he might become the highest paid coach in the NFL. Thats a crazy amount of money to pay for a first time head coach in the NFL.
However good he is, taking the Miami gig at $7-$8 million is a no-brainer. Sweet. If this was from Al Davis for Oakland, maybe he hesitates. Probably an announcement tomorrow if this is true. I read somewhere yesterday the Dolphins were the front-runner for Harbaugh from the beginning.
that's alot of coin for someone with no HC NFL experience..don't get me wrong, he'd be at the top of anyone list, but isn't that Cowher type money? probably more...
Jay Glazer: After meeting w Jim Harbaugh, Dolphins have decided to forgo that route and retain Tony Sparano. More to come
Ah, his options have narrowed now that the rumored high-bidder is out of the picture. Either his asking price was too high or they weren't impressed enough to hire him. I still doubt it, but maybe Harbaugh stays at Stanford.
With Luck coming back, Standford became more of a viable option. But if Michigan comes calling, things could get interesting.
I think he is going to interview or got interviewed by the 49ers. So if the Miami option didnt work, he can work with 49ers.
no surprise. That's where I had him going. He doesnt have to uproot his family and the 49ers fit his style... solid ground game with gore healthy and defense thats tough up front.
Following the same path of a coaching legend. McNultyisDrunk, I think you are right. 49ers could very well be a playoff team next season. What the Dolphins did to Sparano was wrong. That was stinky.
