He still hasn't won anything anywhere... He walked into a great situation in SF and had the best QB to play college in a decade. Im not saying he hasn't exceeded expectations but he isn't nearly as good as he thinks he is.
I don't get why half of y'all hate Harbaugh. The guy just wins games and y'all manufacture arguments in an attempt to pretend like he isn't a good coach. You people are weird. He wins. Case closed.
What coach would define "good" for you then? Every great coach seems to have some great players as well... very rare for a coach to be able to do it all. The NFL is impossible to sustain real success (even for SB winning teams)... to go to 3 consecutive NFC championship games (with 1 SB) is no small feat whatsoever.
He was one play away from winning a Superbowl. If Kaepernick makes one extra play, does Harbaugh suddenly become a great coach?
I've always liked Michigan and think this would be a great hire to get this program back to where it should be. Would instantly make OSU vs Michigan relevant again.
I may have to do some research, but I think he was dead set on going to Stanford, as his only other schools he considered was Rice and Northwestern. Joe blow like you could have recruited him.
I suspect cause evidently he is not a likable person winning doesn't give you free passage to be an A-Hole Rocket River
These guys are paid to win... not be buddies. I'll take a winning a-hole any day over a likable loser.
How did he walk into a great situation? It's not like he walked into the 14-2 Chargers when Marty was fired. The team he walked into was 6-10
Ya that was a great 6-10 situation. Even if a Lot of talent was already there he clearly coached them up to be greater. Unless of course you think any ol coach could go to two nfc title games and a play away from a super bowl title in their first three seasons. Again.....
