Well the Rockets basically traded Hill who is still young and athletic with size on him for a old PG who we didn't really need anyway plus we should all know Fisher hates Houston. So we basically traded Hill and got nothing back in return.

The trade for Camby is a much better trade and I feel like I could get a lot more by trading Hill. I was surprised that the Rockets traded Hill for Fisher and most people know that Fisher would never wear an Houston Uniform so we basically gave Hill away for nothing. I still think we could have traded Hill for an expiring player and draft picks or something better.

Overall, I think Morey failed with the Jordan Hill trade. Because Jordan Hill is a type of player that most team would buy into his potential, his size and athleticism and some team would be willing to give up a decent young player plus a nice draft pick if Morey can get them to buy into Jordan Hill. But yeah, that was a bad trade. We got nothing out of it whatsoever.

Do you remember the first round pick the Rockets got from the Hill-Fisher trade?

    lol case closed.

if bigs take 4-5 years to develop and he's in his 4th year and hasn't developed any of his 'potential' yet, i seriously doubt giving up on his was a mistake.

He always looks good in spurts. Come back in a few games. He will be underwhelming them again with enough minutes.

We said the same thing when New York gave up on him. But if you've spent any decent amount of time watching Hill play, he's clearly offensively stunted.

You easily gave up on Marc Gasol, Jim.

I think we can get better prospects in the draft, if not, right now. Patterson's better. Motiejunas should be even better. Heck, I'd take Scola's old ass over Hill.

tell me how much they're gonna pay Hill. Then talk to me. His qualifying offer is approaching 5 mil. Guess what...we didn't have the luxury this offseason to say "well we'll re-sign him at 5-6 mil per season and hope he pans out eventually because he's a big man"

I'm glad we got a 1st for him because whether or not he pans out, we weren't keeping him after this season

Does this mean we should have hung onto Thabeet as well. Almost made it to that four year mark! Time for him to turn into that prince. Isn't he already a Prince in his home country?

Seriously? I doubt they regret making that trade since they, you know, reached 3 straight NBA Finals and won 2 NBA championships right after they acquired Pau Gasol.

Players often need to fit the team's style on the court and 'in the locker room'. From a talent perspective I always believed Curry and Bynum were twins with one landing with eek Zeke and the other Zen. The very dysfunctional Bulls then Knicks and the other Kobe and championship expectations, and delivery.

LO, at his best, wouldn't bring it three nights in a row. Of course when he brings it he's terrific. Frankly, LO looks like something sent from Central Casting and plays like a Kardashian...

JHill has talent. He was/is at a crossroads where he'll either become a good rotational player or a waste of great talent. With the LAKobes he has a chance that wasn't going to eventuate at TheToyShop.

still jordan hill did look very impressive in that abc national game against the thunder. rockets fans on this board always hates when a former player that sucked on our team plays well for another.

If all we needed Hill to was a good rebounder that could make an occasional jumper then we would have kept him. We needed an impact player and Motiejunas could be that guy. We basically just replaced him with Donatas

THIS WAS ONLY HILL'S 3RD YEAR!!! Why does everyone think he's in his fourth year.. He was part of the 09 draft class.. 09-10, 10-11, 11-12...3 years.. Next year will be Hill's 4th season...

Lamar was emotionally distressed and demanded a trade.
    Look how unstable he was.

LMAO! Imagine if Morey somehow knew about this happening and wanted to trade him ASAP before it was official.
