No I do not.......and if you speak Chinese as you claim, please translate an article and post it here to prove it. Thanks. DD
A few imperfect translations here and there are quite possible, but basing on what do you assert the entire interview is a hoax? Feel free to seek the help from your buddy Van Gundier if you are unsure about translation technicalities, I am sure he is eager to please.
Carl is right. The Chinese does not have "fully" in there. And I don't think Morey necessarily referred to Rafer there (at least not "fully" ). He could well mean that we did not have adequate depth at that position.
In the original article, the context in which he spoke clearly implicated Rafer, who not only was the starting PG but also played heavy minutes. I can't imagine Morey would worry about Rafer's substitute (i.e., the depth at PG) if Rafer were playing like John Stockton,
What Carl Herrera/Van Gundier said is right. That's what the original article said, which makes more sense than the original English retranslation.
Of course it has something to do with Rafer. Even Rafer knows he is no Stockton. That's why his backup was so important. Rafer played heavy minutes because he had no backup.
Let's assume that Carl is right, and that is the correct translation, that still says that Morey is talking about how bad Rafer played and how BAD the PG position was under JVG....IE Rafer. Carl got major cuddling while at U of H, he was fully cuddled by the time he got to the Rockets. DD
I hardly see that there is any significant difference in either statement/translation that makes much of a difference. Morey is still saying that last year our PG position sucked.
the position as a whole sucked. Why? because the backups were either luther, lucas, or v-gina. that sucks
Yeah, that is what Morey was saying, the backups Sucked....OF COURSE !!! Wow !!! You nailed it..... I mean clearly he was talking about the guys who played 8 minutes a game being the problem, not the guy playing 40 minutes.... Put the crack pipe down and slowly walk away Donkey. DD
Morey's "problem at PG" comment could have meant that we were thin at the position, not necessarily that Rafer was totally inadequate. Let's face it, with Head or JL3 as your back-up PG's, there was never really any hope of getting much from that position.
